Same here, we keep shouting “l’m not well” I don’t think I’ll watch. I agree it’s confusing and I keep looking at her face and thinking “what have you done, is it fillers? Have you have your lips done?” Her face seems so expressionless. I always liked her but not in this.
Lol we've also been saying I'm not well for the last few weeks as we haven't been! Started watching it last night but fell asleep and husband had already gone to bed so have recorded it and will probably watch them all at once.
Yes I could barely make head or tale of it. This current generation of crime and police drama writers seem to have resorted to the dark buildings and loud banging music and other weird devices which the directors obviously think are "very cool".
FGS film and TV directors stop getting tied up with your silly special effects and just give us a decent crime drama. without making the plot unbelieveable. The house Marcella lives in must be worth about a million. Looking at the condition of the interior and the very posh area it appears to be in, How much does the average detective constable or sergeant earn? Certainly not to afford the mortgage on a house like that I would guess.
Screen writers please just think about real life .These stupid fads for very poor lighting and weird music certainly do nothing to enhance the plot. If there is any discernable plot.
I tried oh how I tried to follow the plot but Marcella's back story is so convoluted that it seemed to overshadow and befuddle the plot. And I gave up. But I am known for easy befuddlement. Will I tune in again next week? No, probably not.
I struggle with it,but am now enjoying it. But I am not sure what's happening about the man in the home, with care assistant trying to get him to communicate.
I think I missed episode 1 which certainly doesn't help!
Ha ha, I was hoping someone would enlighten me. It's 8 parts, so a way to go yet. I just hope there is a reasonably satisfying ending, not like some recently.
I thought he would turn out to be one of the past victims maybe? I am losing it a bit and found it quite hard to follow last night, all the different crimes going on so many separate things that aren’t tying up at the moment I keep thinking I ve missed an episode too Where do the two old blokes come into it ( Nigel planter and friend)?
I wondered how the care assistant fitted into things. The two old men had something to do with the boy found bricked up between the houses - one of them owned one of the houses. I think the one getting dementia might spill the beans about what they did.
