Anyone started the new series ?

BlueBelle Tue 13-Mar-18 17:49:42

Sar that’s what I think that the care home man is a past victim as we saw that scar and may be he’s the bit that pins it altogether
I m still not sure where the father of the dead baby (has he left her) or the two old men come into it
A lot of horrible people in this series

Sar53 Tue 13-Mar-18 17:24:35

The man in the care home has a scar on his torso in the same place as the boys who were killed. Could he be a victim who has survived, and is he trying to communicate with the carer about what happened to him.
I didn't enjoy the first series but think this one is much better.

But surely he ( spying policeman) could see her son and the man without her laptop being there. And also it showed two different views of her house.

It’s fasanating, intriguing & difficult to follow, but I love it.

maryeliza54 Tue 13-Mar-18 12:52:06

It was the green camera light which showed it was ‘on’ when she hadn’t activated it herself

Welshwife Tue 13-Mar-18 12:33:41

I think the controlling husband injured himself with the fridge door and a knife or whatever and told everyone Marcella had attacked him. Only under the hypnosis did she realise he had done it to himself. He really is a nasty bit of work!
I think the odd policeman who uses the cameras in the house has only put them in quite recently. Did anyone u derstand how she suddenly realised what he had been doing? I know it was something activated on her laptop but didn’t understand how.

It's getting better now. I really couldn't figure out all the different threads and stories and was on the point of giving up. But last night, the fog lifted and it really began to get good. I can't help saying to myself "I'm not well"! is what Marcella seemed to shout a lot at the beginning!!

I've no idea where the care assistant and the chap (and the person in charge preventing him being able to communicate) comes into it all. The two men are equally mysterious. I do hope all the dots are joined up and there's a satisfactory ending for all our sakes. Roll on next week.

It does have twists and turns and many sub stories, which in true form will all be linked at the end.
I found the counselling session interesting, when Marcella went back in her memory. Is her ex husband playing mind games to totally discredit her?
Will the police chap have recorded what really happened with her husband in the kitchen?
I’m quite enjoying it.

Welshwife Tue 13-Mar-18 08:47:56

I wondered how the care assistant fitted into things. The two old men had something to do with the boy found bricked up between the houses - one of them owned one of the houses. I think the one getting dementia might spill the beans about what they did.

BlueBelle Tue 13-Mar-18 06:41:46

I thought he would turn out to be one of the past victims maybe?
I am losing it a bit and found it quite hard to follow last night, all the different crimes going on so many separate things that aren’t tying up at the moment I keep thinking
I ve missed an episode too
Where do the two old blokes come into it ( Nigel planter and friend)?

seacliff Tue 13-Mar-18 06:14:14

Ha ha, I was hoping someone would enlighten me. It's 8 parts, so a way to go yet. I just hope there is a reasonably satisfying ending, not like some recently.

Welshwife Mon 12-Mar-18 22:30:29

I haven’t missed any of the episodes and he is still a mystery to me too! If we get to the end I will watch the first couple of episodes again,!!

seacliff Mon 12-Mar-18 22:16:01

I struggle with it,but am now enjoying it. But I am not sure what's happening about the man in the home, with care assistant trying to get him to communicate.

I think I missed episode 1 which certainly doesn't help!

Welshwife Mon 12-Mar-18 22:12:42

At least now she is starting to remember and she knows about the filming in her house. I would have been more grateful the chap dialled 999.!!!

travelsafar Mon 12-Mar-18 21:34:29

Why is Marcella portrayed as so angsty, emotional, dysfunctional and almost on the verge of a breakdown.

It seems to be the trend these days that all detectives have so many personnal issues going on they don't seem normal.

Lets hope it is not like that in real life. If it was, i hope they would be made to go on sick leave!!!!

MawBroon Tue 20-Feb-18 20:39:18

Straight over my head I’m afraid smile
Lemon grin

Chewbacca Tue 20-Feb-18 20:38:41

I tried oh how I tried to follow the plot but Marcella's back story is so convoluted that it seemed to overshadow and befuddle the plot. And I gave up. But I am known for easy befuddlement. Will I tune in again next week? No, probably not.

BlueBelle Tue 20-Feb-18 20:34:37

Oh Mawboon I was only joking I m not ill I was just doing a Marcella ‘I M NOT WELL’ ???

lemongrove Tue 20-Feb-18 20:24:54

I didn’t watch any of this series of Marcella, as a character she annoyed me in the last series.

lemongrove Tue 20-Feb-18 20:24:01

Maw hmmmm. Piotr sounds a bit Russian to me, you haven’t been having any dealings with dodgy diplomats have you?grin

MawBroon Tue 20-Feb-18 19:05:09

Sorry, not shouting (and I too have been poorly with flu for the last two weeks ) just meant for emphasis.

BlueBelle Tue 20-Feb-18 19:01:33

MawBroon Tue 20-Feb-18 18:31:49
