Never much of a country fan but love Phoenix and Linesman. Reminds me of a trip to Crete when I was a student! Little cafe on beach with a jukebox in Mallia. Tiny village in those days. What a talented man and what a sad end of life.

KatyK I have memories of car journeys, going on holiday, it was probably our favourite of the few tapes we had in those days - played on a loop with the DC joining in with Rhinestone Cowboy from the back seat.
In fact, I think we must have worn the tape out.

A great musician and singer, also did a few acting roles.
Always thought he was much better than John Denver.

It was very enjoyable and well worth a late night.

Having watched Oklahama at the Proms earlier on, Glen Campbell's rendition of 'My Boy Bill' from Carousel was a lovely end to the evening.
