If you are watching Missing what do you think of it . it's complicated isn't it? stories within stories and changing countries and changing years I m really having to keep on my toes to follow it I am enjoying it though One criticism is I wish the wife and girlfriend looked less alike I have to keep translate which is which it is getting better now I m more familiar with the story line but the first couple of episodes foxed me

Oh blimey, Mamie. You've just thrown another spanner in the works. grin

Mamie Thu 17-Nov-16 18:08:04

S/he keeps his/her left wrist (the one with the spider tattoo) hidden too (I am not that observant I read it on a forum). grin

NotTooOld Thu 17-Nov-16 18:13:24

Now I'm even more confused. Isn't it the last wekk next week?

carerof123 Thu 17-Nov-16 18:36:18

I just wish it would hurry and end, i am starting to get bored with the story being dragged out, but obviously i want to know what happens!!!!

morethan2 Thu 17-Nov-16 18:47:39

I feel the same careof123 I'm not watching anything from the same writers again. It's like wearing a woolly jumper. You don't want to take it off, but it's really irritating

There are two more episodes. Love watching it, there is so little stuff on TV that I watch. Really helps to keep the gray matter alive.

Rinouchka Thu 17-Nov-16 19:40:51

Well said, carerof123 and morethan2. Totally agree!

Welshwife Thu 17-Nov-16 20:19:47

I got more confused than normal withthe time passing last night - the present time could only have been a few days as the policeman had yet to be missed let alone found. Who was the girl in a café in Switzerland and then in the house in the forest? She appeared to be there on her own but Sophie/Alice does not appear to be allowed out in their own. I am even more confused.com than usual!

BlueBelle Thu 17-Nov-16 20:48:24

Welshwife the Press officer said he was sending her away (was it to his uncles in Switzerland) didn't he or am I dreaming that
But who is a he/she called Isla .....Mamie I m lost with that one

Luckygirl Thu 17-Nov-16 20:54:32

I am struggling to remember why the young policeman visited the house of the baddie in the first place. Anyone remember?

Greyduster Thu 17-Nov-16 20:59:43

I think he said the uncle had left him the cabin in Switzerland, BlueBelle, which was the house in the forest.

merlotgran Thu 17-Nov-16 22:05:24

The policeman went to the Army Press Officer's house to ask about Lena Garber (missing girl) Apparently he knew her family.

NanKate Thu 17-Nov-16 22:16:24

Question - is the female army person pregnant for the second time having lost baby 1, or Is this her first ?

Answer please................

I am thoroughly enjoying the series even though I am veering from understanding the story line, to not having a clue on a minute by minute basis.

Finally who us the foreign looking chap that Baptiste is hallucinating about ?

merlotgran Thu 17-Nov-16 22:22:07

The female army officer is pregnant (by Sam) for the second time. Her first pregnancy was a surrogate one for her sister.

Baptiste was followed in Iraq by a sinister looking chap and he's now hallucinating about him.

merlotgran Thu 17-Nov-16 22:23:08

I don't mean pregnant twice by Sam. I just can't think straight grin

BlueBelle Fri 18-Nov-16 01:50:20

I thought the first baby was by Sam but she gave it to her sister then was pregnant again by Sam oh blimey have I got this all wrong?

I m loving it though although it's tying me in knots

Yes who is the middle eastern man Baptise is hallucinating about ? I know he's the one he kept seeing in the bazaars etc but where is he in the story

NanKate Fri 18-Nov-16 06:07:38

Thanks Merlotgran I now remember the soldier handing her baby to the sister. Thanks for jogging my rather flagging memory.

kittylester Fri 18-Nov-16 08:09:21

I can't cope with the time changes, the violence or the plot!

rosesarered Fri 18-Nov-16 08:54:59

Surely the first baby ( surrogate) was not fathered by Sam though?
It's very well acted, one of those dramas which sucks you in to it.

gillybob Fri 18-Nov-16 08:59:51

I don't think we have been told who the father of the first baby was. It was probably her sisters husband as it was a surrogate baby. The second (most recent) pregnancy is Sam's baby though. I always had a feeling that the butchers wife was setting him up to take the blame (knowing full well he didn't do it).

can't wait until the next episode.

BlueBelle Fri 18-Nov-16 11:13:59

Mamie who is this person you say we are encouraged to think is male I ve lost that bit completely ?

Jalima Fri 18-Nov-16 15:44:44

jalima I am full of admiration for anyone that can come up with any sort of theory as to what is going on at the moment
My theory is probably completely way off beam grin
I started getting confused when they introduced 2015.

Sometimes the only way I could keep up with the year was by the length of Keeley Hawes's hair!

I don't think the army officer Eve? was pregnant by Sam the first time, their affair started after Alice/Sophie/Lena had died in the shed. The first was the surrogate baby she handed over to her sister and bil. This one is Sam's baby (we presume).

In the bedroom where Alice/Sophie and little Lucy were locked in then drill man said she would be going away and she wanted Lucy to go with her, but he said no, Lucy would be staying with him.
So the girl in Switzerland is Alice/Sophie
He presumably kept Lucy to blackmail Alice/Sophie into not going to the police and revealing all. She has to phone in every day.

Surely the 3rd girl was Lena, not a boy?, and Alice/Sophie in Switzerland threw her spectacles on to the fire - symbolic of the fire that Lena died in because it was her in the shed? Drill man would have come along and let her out of the shed and replaced her with a dead body.

I think.

Jalima Fri 18-Nov-16 15:46:17

let Alice/Sophie out the the shed, not her

gillybob Fri 18-Nov-16 16:06:44

Sometimes the only way I could keep up with the year was by the length of Keeley Hawes's hair

That's exactly what I said on the very first page of the thread Jalima and so far I think it is the only thing helping me keep track of what year we are in ! Glad it's working for you too.grin

Greyduster Fri 18-Nov-16 16:23:30

I thought I heard the press officer (aka drill man) call the girl Sophie when he was talking to her about going away? She also spoke to him in French and he chastised her for it. The plot thickens (or is it me that thickens??).
