Poldark 2016

I really enjoyed the first series but this one seems very dull and I just keep falling asleep as its so slow.

Yes its not great. I don't know why Ross seems to be such a stranger to soap and water. Everyone else seems to manage. You'd think he might manage to shave before his own son's christening too. It would only mean a short break from all his meaningful silences and general frowning!

Poor Francis has gone!

He redeemed himself, then died! Storyline picking up again...

Where's the baby gone? Did we see him at all tonight?

Poor Francis. Poor Demelza.

I think we saw 'the baby' for a split second and he was a toddler. It was a 'blink and you miss it' thing so I may have imagined it though....I still think Elizabeth is a bit insipid.

Desperately tonight, especially when Francis was hallucinating that Ross was about to save him.
And now, of course, Demelza will be even more fearful about Elizabeth.

I was so hoping for a miracle ending.

Still, we got to see Ross having a bath, which should please those of you who think he looks in need of a good wash.

Oh no, that must have been when my phone rang? Do you mean you actually saw him IN the bath? Erm not that I'm interested, just glad to know he's washed. Of course.

I was convinced that in the book Ross saved Francis from drowning at the lahst minute. Didn't he have a second where he hesitated, wanting to let him drown (because of Elizabeth), then heaved him out, snapping at him about not learning to swim? Why oh why did I send those books to the charity shop?

I must say he certainly looked dead though - then of course there's the small matter of the funeral.... And he's already cheated death once this series

In the books there was definitely a near miss with Francis down the mine but I think they missed that out and went straight to the drowning.

No room for antics in the bath but there was some saucy dialogue! . '“Do I leave such a lot to be desired?” “Yes, Ross, a lot to be desired.”.

Will the seam that Francis found be the saving of Ross ? I haven't read the book

Not gripped by the story but will continue. Surely there are two babies coming as both couples had sex and that usually indicates a pregnancy.

P.S. I used to enjoy the feistyness of Anghard Reece . This one is sweet of course and very strong but missing something for me.

Ah right, thanks, merlotgran. I won't expect to see Francis popping up again next week then (I'd concocted a little theory of it being Aunt Agatha in the coffin

If it'd had been Casualty (or The Fall), they'd have made a bit of an effort, supernanauna1!

Oh dear. This series seems so boring, repetitive and depressing. Not worth a third series in my opinion.

Well, I'll never feel the same about Ross again - the blackguard!
