At last some decent telly on the horizon.

How do you do that Grannyk? Have ipad and TV but no idea?!!!

grannylyn neither do I! We have a "Smart" TV bought about 2 years ago and iPlayer, YouTube, Netflix, etc etc is all on there and you simply select it.

However my adult children who do not have a Smart TV, also watch stuff via their gadgets, as I understand it, you have to pick up wi-fi on your TV. My son uses a Chrome stick (I think they cost about £30) (and his phone as a remote ) and my daughter and SIL use a computer with a bigger than usual screen, as their TV. Me? I just turn up and get comfy!

Maybe ask them at the Apple store?

Well, it wasn't bad, but not great either we thought.Will watch some more though as it may improve.

Saw the trailer and thought it looks promising.

If you have an I pad you can get I player through your App Store. Just download it it's free. Another way is to google I player and down load it that way.

I watched the first episode and quite enjoyed it, but thought it could be a bit samey in other episodes, time will tell.

I have watched all of it. I really like it. Was not sure at first but it definitely improved as it went on. Will watch again on Tuesday evenings.

DD has just sent me this picture of 17yr old DGD watching it.

Oh dear! I had high hopes, but tonight's first episode was just...silly. The idea has been done much better in previous tv programmes and films.

And so easily resolved in the end! Why didn't they think of that before?

The second episode didn't get a lot better.

But it seemed like an episode in its own right, jingl, that's why I said what I said. I thought it was going to be an ongoing story, not just a different 'possession' every week.

Nope, it's a different case every week! Who would live in that Somerset village eh?

If two residents are killed off every week there will no village left by the end of the series.

It is an ongoing story.

Only ongoing in the sense that all the villagers are the same.

Each story is a different one, in terms of the supernatural content.

Try watching it again.

What are you talking about? Have just watched it, the villagers and story moves along from the first incident to a different supernatural incident.it is only ongoing with reference to the farm and his marriage etc.Each episide contains a differing ghostly story.

I am guessing that is what Ana means.

No.....! It's one story.

Each episode has a self-contained "case" for the main character to solve. Just like e.g. Lewis, Foyle's War, Vera etcetera. I don't understand the confusion!

I liked its Victorian ghostliness. I also like the wife.
