Is anyone else watching The Secret. I am enjoying this series and James Nesbitt is playing an excellent part as the very 'dark' religious murderer. It is based on real events which is also making it very interesting and I am looking forward to next weeks episode.

I think he told Kyle first, then people from his church, after he'd lost all the money. They told the police.
We had it recorded and watched all 4 episodes the last 2 nights.
As others have said, it was very disturbing, I kept waking up last night and thinking about it. Brilliant acting. Shocking that the woman also ended up in prison. And the strange religious aspect - weird.
It reminded me of a french film I saw years ago about an adulterous couple who think they've murdered his wife, but she lives. Shocks the husband when she re-appears in the bath, and he dies of the shock.

Tricia I didn't think it was shocking that she ended up in jail! I would have been upset if she didn't. Her husband's poor old parents, how could she do that to them? And her children? Plus she carried on with the dentist for 4 more years after the murders. She deserved to go to prison.

Of course she deserved to go to prison. The sentences were fair - he got more than her, and he also got a further few years for the sexual abuse of his patients, which he got away with for quite some time.

The book about these horrible murders goes into the incompetence of the police in greater detail. They really did miss some obvious lines of enquiry.

I'm still digesting it.
Yes, it was right that she went to prison, at the least she condoned a terrible act. Did you notice how she straightened a kink in the gas pipe to the bedroom?
But if the truth hadn't come out 2 families would still be functioning more or less normally, even though deluded. Whereas now they must be completely wrecked.
I read up about James Nesbitt, and evidently he has wrecked his own marriage with infidelities - perhaps that's how he played the role so truthfully.

Correcting my last post, you're right, what they both did to the families of their ex husband and wife was unforgivable.
Both seemed to be blameless people.

Tricia she certainly presented herself as a victim and almost succeeded!
