Undercover gets my vote. Superb actors, riveting plot, can't wait for the next episode. I'm hooked, it's one of the best things on TV at the moment. Anyone else enjoying it?

Have done a bit of googling. Apparently Twitter is full of people who are totally bemused. Michael apparently murdered the Mayor of Baton Rouge and no-one knows why and Rudi was framed for it. So I misunderstood even more than I realised..

Well, it's not just us then,

" BBC One's Sunday night drama Undercover came under fire from viewers last night as the ending to the six-part series was labelled "mind-boggling" and accused of being filled with plot-holes.

The series starred Sophie Okonedo and Adrian Lester and followed the stories of a defence lawyer attempting to resolve a miscarriage of justice and her husband attempting to protect the truth about his secret past.

Early reviews about the Peter Moffatt series had been positive, but the show’s conclusion drew an overwhelmingly negative response on social media."

It was certainly very disappointing, and to be quite honest, I usually manage to follow these stories without too much trouble, and can sometimes relate them to the other half, but I am completely at a loss with this one. It became more and more complicated with too may side-tracks without ending. The acting was good, and a great story line if it had stuck to one, and had a proper ending.

When he was cleared at the end didn't Rudi say "he deserved it"? I first thought that meant he had killed the mayor but apparently that was Michael who also turned out to be involved in drugs to the knowledge of his mother. Michael died in police custody, did a policeman kill him and the government guys cover it all up?
Why was the undercover guy shadowing Maya to the extent he married her? How come Maya was defending Rudi in the first place? Really pleased that the autistic son pulled through, I did understand that bit.
There is speculation that there may be a second series. If it answered some of the questions in this one that would be a plus. Just glad I am not the only bewildered one.

A second series may just add to the confusion .

My simple brain can cope with a beginning, a middle and a proper ending, maybe Marcella will provide but I am not expecting too much.

Watched it to the end. No idea what it was about. Someone would need to sit me down and take me through the entire plot. Only thing is, I cannot say that I care enough to sit in one place for that long.

Not sure Marcella will be much better. Not holding my breath.

Do we know Nicks real name? Was it Michael?

NanSue Mon 16-May-16 19:18:38

I'm so relieved that I'm only one who was confused. I enjoyed watching it but at the end, thought it was a waste of 6 weeks viewing! I don't think I can be bothered with another series.

It was a big disappointment - very muddled and confusing. When I thought about it properly, it was really quite a ridiculous plot.

Charleygirl Tue 17-May-16 09:40:26

I will not be too bothered if there is a series two because I will not be watching it.

I was relieved when this ended I suppose it didn't help that the slow pace and the patronising way the main female character spoke lulled me off to sleep but overall it was boring for me. I will certainly be glad when Marcella ends I could push her in the Thames!
