And away we go again!

Gracesgran Tue 21-Jun-16 20:42:16

Just spotted your comment about Kate and a member of your family Iam - my sympathiesgrin

Elrel Tue 21-Jun-16 21:16:54

Besides the wall crack one of the Grundys (Clarrie?) was wondering why the water that poured down from Joe's overflowing bath was brown.

LullyDully Tue 21-Jun-16 22:02:49

Henry is the true victim of Blob. What a spiteful rat he is . How will it end..?
can't see Ursula being able to look after Henry and Gideon /Jack. .We could do with the first wife coming back to share her tales.Helen is slowly getting her self.esteem back. How sad to have that power over another and to thrive on it.

Iam64 Tue 21-Jun-16 22:25:33

Yes, poor Henry, Rob has the child twent four hours a day, plenty of time to manipulate the little boy. I do hope the Cafcass person is skilled and experienced.

Gracesgran Tue 21-Jun-16 23:48:54

The person talking to Helen was gently drawing her out. Would it be the same person Iam?

Iam64 Wed 22-Jun-16 07:33:40

If the person talking to Helen was the Cafcass appointed Children's Guardian, then yes, she would also talk to Henry, Rob and other family members. Fingers crossed!

LullyDully Wed 22-Jun-16 08:40:39

I just hope Henry is the key to it all and can provide the secrets to his own future happiness.

merlotgran Wed 22-Jun-16 10:46:18

By now, word must have got round Ambridge that Carol's daughter is staying with her.

Not everyone will know her connection with Helen but all the Archer clan will and so will Rob and Ursula.

How long can they avoid eachother?

Gracesgran Wed 22-Jun-16 10:56:56

I would like Anna to bump into a few people a get their take on Rob. She may hear two sides - Susan v Ian, etc., but she is an intelligent woman and should get more of a sense about how to trigger Helen's memory.

Gracesgran Wed 22-Jun-16 21:55:27

Oh, oh, oh ... must stop reading the spoilers!!!

LullyDully Thu 23-Jun-16 08:07:22

Trouble is the spoilers are only speculation. Mumsnet were convinced Henry's day out was to to Doother Boys Hall or to lurk outside the mbu to catch out Tony and Pat. I suppose that game has a certain fun element to it. I just want H , J and H back together making cheese without Blob. Cue music to the Archers.

Gracesgran Thu 23-Jun-16 08:43:21

I wasn't thinking of the mumsnet guessing games, although they do make me chuckle - especially their names for the charactersgrin I was really just glad to read the expanded Radio Times comments and the straplines several weeks ahead - and then doing my own guessing smile

Iam64 Thu 23-Jun-16 18:29:04

Gracesgran, you did a smiling face about your own guessing. Can we live in hope of some positive outcomes for Henwy and Helen ?

merlotgran Thu 23-Jun-16 19:24:27

Nice one, David. Some proper parenting in the Archers at last??

Gracesgran Thu 23-Jun-16 20:32:29

That's a bit like guessing what the Radio Times comments mean Iam. I think the answer is maybe yes, maybe no. I have to admit that when I typed it I thought yes but the more I thought about it I realised it could also be no. I will copy over what I had been looking at if you like but I don't want to spoil things for anyonesmile

This is a list of examples of coercive controlling behaviour from a document advising Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (Maracs). I am beginning to wonder why Anna doesn't ask some direct questions. I heard an article about the mother of the little girl who died and her relationship to the father. The said there was a check list which should have been used.
• Controlling or observing victim’s daily activities, including: being made to account for their time; restricting access to money; restricting their movements (including being locked in the property).
• Isolating the victim from family/friends; intercepting messages or phone calls.
• Constant criticism of victim’s role as a partner/spouse/parent.
• Threats of suicide/homicide/familicide.
• Preventing the victim from taking medication/accessing care (especially relevant for victims with disabilities).
• Using children to control their partner, eg threats to take the children.
• Extreme dominance; a sense of ‘entitlement’ to partner/partner’s services, obedience etc - no matter what.
• Extreme jealousy (“If I can’t have you, no one can”), giving the victim cause to believe they will act on this.

Henry seems to have suddenly found his voice!

LullyDully Sat 25-Jun-16 08:05:50

If only he could discern who has his best interests at heart. Not possible at 5. He is likely to need some serious psychological help at some stage. Not likely with NHS child psychological services the way they are.
I know it's a soap but the only one I let myself indulge in and I feel so sorry for that little boy.

Interesting that Pat and Tony are experiencing some of Rob's controlling skills.

Lazigirl Sat 25-Jun-16 11:43:32

At last the penny has well and truly dropped with Pat and she understands how Rob works to manipulate and control to his advantage. Now she educate Tony and others... Henry is likely, eventually to start repeating what Rob has said, and why he has taken against them, and they will realise how he is being brainwashed.

AyjayF Tue 28-Jun-16 21:25:22

Ooohh Lilian!!! ?

Gracesgran Tue 28-Jun-16 22:57:05

Wednesday (tomorrow) is the day of the hearing I think. Half of me just doesn't want to listen sad

merlotgran Wed 29-Jun-16 20:01:52

So Anna, having only just moved in with Carol, is turning into a flaky emotional woman because 'it's happening again'

Good job the Lasagne fell on the floor. hmm

AyjayF Wed 29-Jun-16 20:15:54

This is intriguing. What is Anna talking about??

merlotgran Wed 29-Jun-16 20:25:11

She certainly let Helen down at the hearing. I thought she was supposed to be a force to be reckoned with.

Carol's mind altering substances at work again?

LullyDully Wed 29-Jun-16 21:33:25

The impression I got was that the hearing convinced Anna about Rob's abuse, which Helen is yet to share with her. She did say the judge would stick with the status quo until the trial 're poor Henry. I think she has felt a bit directionless until now with Helen's silence but that both women are going to go onward from now on. Hope so.

Gracesgran Wed 29-Jun-16 22:04:09

Anna has just broken up from a husband/partner hasn't she. I thought Carol said something to Jill about her having a bad time(?)
