Would you all be very miffed if I finished this one, and started number 4?

phoenix Sun 31-Jul-16 19:19:37

RIP Scruff sad

Iam64 Sun 31-Jul-16 18:46:15

It was a drunken new year's eve snog. I'm not defending Adam,I believe Ian deserves better but he chose to marry Adam and generally they are very happy together.
Rob was the problem in all of this, winding everyone up and preventing Helen from contacting Ian. Ian over reacted, blaming Helen rather than Adam. Everyone needed to calm down a bit but they didn't, did they. I'll be interested when Rob's clever barrister x examines Ian…...

AyjayF Sun 31-Jul-16 18:40:42

Amusing that Adam wanted Ian's letter to Helen to be short + not detailed. What would that detail be Adam? "You + I fell out Helen when you failed to tell me my soon-to-be husband was snogging Charlie"? Ah, yes. That would be it

Thanks LullyDully, I haven't popped over to the mumsnet Archers threads for a while. They are so entertaining aren't they.

LullyDully Sun 31-Jul-16 18:31:54

I have a feeling this week should move things on according to Mumsnet spoilers. It has all been stewing for too long.

Iam64 Sun 31-Jul-16 18:19:13

I don't think there's any 'may' about it Gracesgran - we definitely will.

Gracesgran Sun 31-Jul-16 17:57:10

We may need a whole new thread for the court casesmile

phoenix Sun 31-Jul-16 16:51:44

Only 10 posting opportunities left before we have to go on to Archers Addicts 4! shock

Gracesgran Sun 31-Jul-16 15:51:22

Tom applies for a Nuffield

AyjayF Sun 31-Jul-16 12:02:44

Will Toby + Pip get found out. Which one will Josh thump first?

LullyDully Fri 29-Jul-16 17:05:20

Get on with ..." when all is revealed".... please.

Gracesgran Fri 29-Jul-16 17:03:05

... and I am sure she will be saying she 'knew all along'.

Lazigirl Fri 29-Jul-16 16:44:44

Too right Merlotgran. She'll be dishing the dirt big time when all is revealed!

merlotgran Fri 29-Jul-16 14:04:27

She certainly badgered Neil to stand up to Tony over his position as pig manager.

I wouldn't mind betting that once the scales fall from her eyes she'll hate Rob's guts and swear she knew he was a bad'un all the time.

Lazigirl Fri 29-Jul-16 13:58:39

There are probably Susans in most communities so I agree she is a great character. She will be a major influence on Neil tho'. Partners usually are.

Iam64 Fri 29-Jul-16 10:59:52

Has soosan forgotten she served a prison sentence ?! She really is a great character, such a snob and a judgemental gossip.

AyjayF Fri 29-Jul-16 09:55:33

Hopefully Susans comments will make Neil more determined to speak up for Helen. He has said he will not speak badly of Rob ( who he probably hardly knows) Would be good idea for Neil to be given his own voice for a change

merlotgran Fri 29-Jul-16 09:47:03

Has Susan forgotten that her son is married to Helen's cousin?

Rob and Susan deserve eachother....Boo Hiss!!

LullyDully Fri 29-Jul-16 08:34:07

But will Neil's heart be in it with Susan bleeting in his ear? Ian will do the job but Neil is an interesting person for Anna to choose.
Susan is very disloyal to Pat, who she works for and can she keep her mouth shut? Silly question really.

Iam64 Fri 29-Jul-16 07:58:38

Apologies, I'm not minimising other forms of rape, just empathising with Helen, who by then was beginning to be unable to avoid the fact she was married to a man who wouldn't make her or Henry happy or emotionally safe.

Iam64 Fri 29-Jul-16 07:57:34

Eirel, there was also the occasion when she was very tired, late in pregnancy and said No several times but Rob continued. It's rape on more than one occasion. As the posters say, No means exactly that. There is something particularly grotesque imo in forcing sex on a heavily pregnant woman who is saying No, I'm tired I don't want to.

Elrel Thu 28-Jul-16 20:45:31

Good for Neil, very thoughtful and sensitive replies to Anna about the younger Helen. I'm not at all surprised at Susan's attitude, she is even gossipy enough to let people know. It might reach Rob that Neil is prepared to be a character witness.
With 'two good men' Helen's position looks a little better. This will all overshadow TA for decades, a huge disruption of 'an everyday story of country folk'.

merlotgran Thu 28-Jul-16 20:44:44

Shall we form an orderly queue to dunk Susan in the village pond?
