hmm

rubylady Wed 09-Mar-16 13:27:12

I'm the odd one out then because I have it on right at this minute, I watch it every day and I love it.

Indinana Wed 09-Mar-16 12:08:08

Perfectly put trisher

NathalieMartin Wed 09-Mar-16 11:53:34

I agree it has certainly gone down hill, the guests they have had recently really are scraping the barrel!

trisher Wed 09-Mar-16 11:14:14

Can't stand them. They epitomise the ideal media woman, faces botoxed and over made up, squeezed into clothes a size too small, trying to pretend they are young and trendy by saying things they think are outrageous. Proper debate is not encouraged, find something rude or silly to say about everything. I have just done a walk for IWD about the suffragettes and shudder to think of what they went through and that this is the way women are now.

Sadly, have to agree that it's gone right downhill. Far too much 'nudge nudge' humour (?) They often raise a really serious topic only for it to deteriorate into farce - such a missed opportunity. I'm very surprised that Janet SP joins in, I thought she would inject some proper debate, even if I didn't agree with her!

pollyparrot Wed 09-Mar-16 09:24:19

I used to watch it but it's gone right down hill. I'm especially not interested in all the soap stars they have one.

Marmark1 Wed 09-Mar-16 09:17:10

Speci4eyes,I'm with you and Coolgrans husband, would never sit with that type in Sainsburys cafe.Glad we're not all like that.

Indinana Wed 09-Mar-16 09:01:05

I haven't watched it for a very long time. I used to like it when Lynda Bellingham was a panellist. Can't remember who else was on with her though.

loopylou Wed 09-Mar-16 06:36:08

I watched 10 minutes of it, that was 9 minutes too much.
Not for me.

specki4eyes Tue 08-Mar-16 20:25:01

Coolgran I agree with your husband. Loose Women chat is banal, sexist, vulgar and neither informative nor entertaining. They are precisely the kind of cackling women from whom I shy away in disgust. There are exceptions: Gloria Hunniford and Ruth Langsford for example.. they have dignity, sound principles and are well informed.

Coolgran65 Tue 08-Mar-16 19:54:09

My husband commented that if men were to talk about women, the way that the ladies on Loose Women talk about men, there would be complaints.

I have mixed views on it, sometimes very entertaining, sometimes irritating.

merlotgran Tue 08-Mar-16 18:16:07

Oh I know who you mean now.

Don't watch it, I'm afraid.

Alima Tue 08-Mar-16 18:06:25

Would take a bet that it was Nadia Swahala (no idea how to spell it.) You know, her sister was in Ab Fab. Nadia herself was in 'Enders years ago.

Grannyknot Tue 08-Mar-16 18:03:55

No merlot not her - Nadia Sawalha the actress... I read the bit about the foetus in the freezer. Odd, to say the least.

Ana Tue 08-Mar-16 18:03:05

No, it's not her, merlot! shock

Nadia Sawalha.

merlotgran Tue 08-Mar-16 17:56:34

Is that Nadia who won Bake Off?

So much for her being shy and retiring and needing to do something for herself hmm

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 08-Mar-16 17:42:56

I caught a clip of this online somewhere this morning. It was the Nadia S... (whatever) woman saying how she kept her dead foetus in the freezer for months. Sad, but weird too.

grannylyn65 Tue 08-Mar-16 17:33:49

Is not funny, entertaining or interesting !

HannahLoisLuke Tue 08-Mar-16 17:24:36

Not for me either. Often shows women in the worst light, mouthy, strident and indiscreet.

obieone Fri 04-Mar-16 15:38:34

It has somewhat lost its way.

Some of the panellists act in an extreme way in their lives.

ninathenana Fri 04-Mar-16 14:30:43

I used to watch it daily but haven't for some time now.
It's not the same as it was.

Teetime Fri 04-Mar-16 14:02:51

I have had the odd glimpse of this programme- not one for me. hmm

Luckylegs9 Fri 04-Mar-16 13:59:46

From time to time I try to watch this programme, but am so put off by some of the panellists.yesterday Linda Robson, exposing the virtues of sharing your intimate bodily functions, especially breaking wind and going to the loo, with your family. Rough doesn't cover it. Today they treated domestic abuse very well, offering advise and information and contact helplines to those who were at risk, a mother and son were on the programme after suffering years of the vilest cruelty and showing how there is hope. Then Nadia ruined it by spouting on about Orgasmic childbirth and sitting on the lavatory for 8 hours with her husband holding her shoulders, frightened to move, that was after him driving round London looking for a field to birth in. It is beyond insane. No one questions their very strange behaviour.
