Anyone else seen this, live, locally?
It costs £15 to watch live screenings in our town hall with poor sound, which I can manage for an occasional treat but I didn't enjoy Hamlet at all. I'd heard of Benedict Cumberbatch and assumed he was amazingly attractive so disappointed that he's really ugly.
I hated the deafening music, too-fast speech, frenetic, hyperactive action, heaps of dirt and a slag-heap, ridiculous Ophelia.
There was just nothing great or noble about this crazy production.

He grows on you, apricot...I'm on the way to becoming a 'cumberbitch' after seeing the Imitation Game and I've just bought a box set of Sherlock.

The reviews haven't been all that good, although I think it's the production they don't like rather than Benedict's performance.

When David Tennant's Hamlet was televised a while back I watched it to see how bad he was. I was amazed to find that he was really good!

I watched it at Tavistock (despite initially being told they couldn't put it on as the fairground rides were interfering with reception). In there end we saw it pretty well and I enjoyed BC as Hamlet also Ophelia. I didn't like the loud noises each time scenery was moved, it sounded like a train going through. I didn't think much of the setting and the rubble seemed unnecessary.
