Most annoying TV presenter?

I recorded a few of ITV daytime's 'Guess this House' for 'rainy day' watching. As well as the non-grammatical title, Saira Khan the presenter is so intense, false and loud that I have no desire to watch more than the first episode, so have deleted the rest. As a previous Apprentice contestant, she is meant to be intelligent, but even her pronunciation of (H)aitch irritates me.
Who would you choose as your most annoying presenter?

Jimmy Carr . Ugh that laugh! Love 8 out of 10 cats (minus bad language) but can't stand him.

Jeremy Vine - still haven't forgiven the BBC for getting rid of Jimmy Young and replacing with JV on the Radio 2 lunchtime slot. And even worse is his appearances on Eggheads! Can't believe he's the brother of Tim Vine who I like!

I am with you egg heads they are so condescending and answer with smug voices . Jeremyclarkson is annoying and talks like he knows it all . There's a girl on look north mainly weekends and her voice is very annoying like forced posh speak

I agree.I was even more annoyed by him when I found out that he comes from my home town . Haven't lived there for many years so thankfully never came across him.

I think I'd find it easier to say who I do like hmm after reading this thread!
Listening to or watching many of them after reading this is going to be interesting.....

Not sure you would call him a TV presenter but Russell Brand annoys me hugely. So full of himself he gives me the creeps. Why is he so popular?

Nanna1 Sat 05-Sept-15 10:01:32

pier Morgan can't stand him

Cresty Sat 05-Sept-15 09:46:34

Got to be Claire Balding she is an expert on everything seemingly !!! strange that tv goes off when she is on dreadful presenter .

Madaboutbooks Sat 05-Sept-15 09:27:36

To name but a few:

Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc
Chris Packham
Matt Baker
Bruce Forsyth

DD and I love Sarah Millican we saw her live last year.
Not a presenter though.

annodomini Fri 04-Sept-15 12:38:45

Chris Packham, natural history presenter, irritates me worse than most. He has a very self-important manner. No doubt he is very clever, but doesn't he know it.

rosesarered Fri 04-Sept-15 11:33:05

or Sarah Millican?

Ana Fri 04-Sept-15 10:51:30

I usually like Sue Perkins but must admit that she didn't come across very well on the Kolkata programme. She didn't even attempt to join in with the 'happy' exercises, just gave some feeble smirks when she should have been laughing out loud and sticking her tongue out!

Still, no presenter could possibly be worse IMO than Caroline Quentin...hmm

KatyK Fri 04-Sept-15 10:48:07

I agree re Sue Perkins Jane. My DH sometimes asks me 'Is there anyone you DO like?' when I am shouting at someone on the TV blush

Jane10 Fri 04-Sept-15 10:16:15

AAAAARGH Sue Perkins! Who does she think she is? The most 'hilarious' person on TV? NOT. She's so irritating. I was interested in the programme about Kolkata but she completely trivialised it with her stupid comments and ridiculous attempts at humour. At one point the group of people she was talking to just walked away from her: fed up with her inanity. So am I.

ninathenana Thu 03-Sept-15 18:57:34

I had no idea who Frank Gardner is until I Googled him blush as far as I know I've never seen him presenting on TV. I have seen him in the adds for WDYTYA I will look forward to that episode.

NotTooOld Thu 03-Sept-15 16:41:47

Ah, I see - seems a bit cheeky, so I'm not sorry she didn't win. Mind you, she was a good dancer, if I remember rightly.

KatyK Thu 03-Sept-15 15:06:22

Sorry anno you had already explained this. Didn't see your post.

SR's mum was a member of Gransnet whilst Susannah was on Strictly Come Dancing. She may well still be a member, so I am not going to cast aspersions but there was a suspicion amongst some members that she was just on here to canvass votes for her daughter, as she disappeared as soon as Susannah was voted off. I'm sure she is a very nice lady and our suspicions may well have been unfounded. grin

NotTooOld Thu 03-Sept-15 14:32:13

Yes, I do admire Frank Gardner, rosequartz, he does a good job in difficult circumstances.

I am not SR's Mum, either, but also have a DD! Come on SR's Mum, own up!

rosequartz Thu 03-Sept-15 14:22:44

I think he is going to be on WDYTYA soon.
Must watch that one

rosequartz Thu 03-Sept-15 14:21:30

I think NottooOld you mean you admire Frank Gardner, not find him annoying, don't you (I misread it at first!)

Yes, lovely voice and seems a lovely man.

I am not SR's mum although my DDs are lovely too, but I hope not annoying!
grin
Who is she then (intrigued now)

annodomini Thu 03-Sept-15 14:17:26

I don't think she 'infiltrated' Gransnet, NottooOld. She was and is a gran and may still be a member of Gransnet. However, she did 'encourage' us to vote for Susannah to win Strictly which she didn't though I think she reached the semi-final and was a good dancer. I can't recall her online name - don't think she was/is anyone famous.

NotTooOld Thu 03-Sept-15 13:40:28

That's it, kittylester, Frank Gardner. Well done.

Who is the lovely SR's mum? I heard she infiltrated GN when SR was on Strictly. Is she someone famous?

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned it but don't SR and her partner have rather strange living habits? I think I read they are separated but still live in the same house? She with their children and he with his new partner? Perhaps Mum can enlighten us?
