Is anyone watching this dreadful programme?

I didn't see it last week so had a look at last night's episode to see if it's as bad as everyone says.....It's worse!!

I'm annoyed that licence payers are footing the bill for this rubbish and who on earth would put themselves forward for this unless they are desperate for public humiliation?

Maybe it's a comedy programme and I'm missing the point? hmm

I caught the last few minutes of it and couldn't believe what I was seeing - so I hunted for a repeat and recorded it; it beggared belief what those designers (especially the chap who draped plants in the hallway) thought was desirable in home decor! Won't be watching it again though.

Didn't watch it. The trailer put me right off!!

Can it get any worse for this mudbath of a programme, hirsute skeletaly-challenged presenter and supporting loons?

henetha Mon 06-Oct-14 10:49:12

It was on Points of View yesterday. Lots of viewers hated it apparently, so it's not just us lot! The stick-thin, over-glamorous presenter was not popular either.

annodomini Mon 06-Oct-14 10:15:44

Yes, feetle, that's the one. Does the expression 'so bad it's good' apply? No. So bad it's dire.

This must be the train-wreck of a programme I found was running when I was too busy to get up and find the remote the other day - I'm still trying to figure out why someone would not want a bedroom 'like a five-star hotel' as one owner plaintively stated - that would have suited me. The presenter a long, lean and stringy looking 'blonde' just failing to hide the Estuary in her speech...

That the one?

There is some real rubbish on TV at the moment but this must win hands down.

ninathenana Mon 06-Oct-14 08:13:18

I have a far better use of my time.....watching Phil & Kirstie grin wich is on at the same time.

annodomini Sun 05-Oct-14 21:33:35

Well, granjura, you could have a fish tank let into the wall of your loo! grin

granjura Sun 05-Oct-14 20:40:16

Same sentiments here- wouldn't trust them with my back WC ;)

papaoscar Sun 05-Oct-14 20:35:08

On the mountain of television rubbish spewed out over the years this ludicrous offering and its strange orange-tinted presenter must be very near the top. To think of entrusting an empty paper bag to these loonies would be folly. The Beeb has gone completely mad!

annodomini Fri 03-Oct-14 17:49:59

That plant wall in the entrance hall was a complete nightmare. Plants need light which was sadly lacking. What happens to these ghastly rooms after the cameras have gone? Does the BBC pay for them to be re-instated?

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 03-Oct-14 17:34:59

shock Shysal! Makes you wonder how much of the designing they actually did! So similar.l

merlotgran Fri 03-Oct-14 17:32:12

I think and I mean only think that these amateur designers are hoping to launch successful careers on the back of this programme.

Ha Ha, Hoo Hoo, Hee Hee, grin

One of yesterday's designers nicked her log alcove idea!

shysal Fri 03-Oct-14 16:43:13

I agree it is absolute rubbish! I saw Celia, the presenter, on a 'Place in the Sun' type programme buying a house on Sandbanks, one of the most expensive spots in the UK. She demolished the property and built a multi-million pound home. I think her outfits are a bit ridiculous, would rather see her in something a little less figure-hugging, and casual.

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 03-Oct-14 16:35:54

And that bedroom might have been ok for a ten year old girl. hmm

Bez Fri 03-Oct-14 16:35:54

In reflection do you think it is a new comedy show?

Bez Fri 03-Oct-14 16:35:07

One of the bedrooms the first week had to be seen to be believed!

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 03-Oct-14 16:34:55

Agree it was rubbish. How would you keep the top plants watered ? And imagine all the dead bits and pieces falling off in time. And can you hoover astro turf? Mad.

henetha Fri 03-Oct-14 16:31:39

I thought this was dire. Honestly, I am a big fan of the BBC, but this was a completely ridiculous programme.

Coolgran65 Fri 03-Oct-14 16:29:02

Saw it last night for the first, wouldn't waste time on another.
The plants on the hallway wall were a nightmare. Even from just a practical viewpoint, how would they successfully be watered and maintained?

absentgrandma Fri 03-Oct-14 16:19:50

Saw a trailer for it on BBC Breakfast. It made Changing Rooms look quite cerebral....IMO of coure. I have to confess to a sneaky liking for LLB.... he sends himself up which is no bad thing, and he livens up my Sunday lunch preperations on Classic FM.

On my laptop the presenter looked dire when she was being interviewed on Breakfast Time..... all fake tan and hair extensions but I watch curtesy (!) of Filmon Tv so hardly top quality, but needs must.

Marmight Fri 03-Oct-14 15:57:32

I didn't see it. Is it similar to Changing Rooms which was on about 10 years ago with Laurence Llewellyn Bowen? It sounds horrendous.

rosesarered Fri 03-Oct-14 15:52:47

What channel is this on? Sounds like a must see!
