I confess to being slightly addicted to this weird series. The BBC was going to axe it but a petition to make another series is doing well. Please sign at www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/reverse-the-bbc-s-decision-to-cancel-ripper-street?

Understand. Not 'never stand'. Sigh

I even watch with subtitles jingle, in the hope that it over simplifies things [it doesn't]. The daft thing is that, even though I can't understand what's going on I know if it's good or not..I've never understood James Bond films but I don't much like them anyway. Have you seen Interstellar? A truly amazing film that was all about black holes/worm holes/third dimensions etc. Read up on it to make out what it was about and it was even more complicated than I'd thought. It's reassuring to know that other people don't understand what's happening.[quite a few actors from GoT's in Ripper Street so I've been getting my GoT's fix before I get to watch series 5!!].

Do like Grimm and can't wait for next series, also Arrow. Like series that are a bit different. Enjoyed Vikings too

Tegan, I enjoyed Interstellar but haven't got a clue what it all meant either

Looking forward to seeing The Martian which sounds like Intersetellar with a few laughs thrown in [and a bit simpler ie he supposedly has to mend his space helmet with gaffer tape when he gets marooned on Mars...now, I CAN understand that grin].

I love Dr Who, but rarely have a clue what's going on. I just go with the flow. smile

It's quite liberating isn't it smile [not trying to understand, that is]

We watched the end of Ripper Street with all the blood and torture while I assured DH that it's a great favourite on Gransnet grin
