I rather suspect that this is not the Jean-Luc Godard film that I went to see when I was a teenager studying for French A level. I think that dates from about 1967 or 68. It was curious and interesting but somehow I could never view it as a comedy, even a black comedy.

If anyone goes to see this can they please explain to me why it has had 4 star ratings and rave reviews? The S.O. and I hated it [apart from seeing Paris which we never tire of].
