Would be interesting to know how many on here would like to see him back on Corrie, and how many wouldn't.

Anyone?

Ana Wed 11-Sept-13 10:57:38

I'm not a big fan of his as an actor, but yes, I think he should get his job back.

glassortwo Wed 11-Sept-13 11:01:18

Verdict Innocent, he should be offered his job back.

whenim64 Wed 11-Sept-13 11:08:22

Yes, he's been acquitted so should return to his job. The law is clear enough. If Corrie production team think his work is affected by his heavy use of alcohol, they will deal with that privately, I assume.

Anniebach Wed 11-Sept-13 11:09:06

Don't watch the prog but he has been found not guilty so yes he should keep his job, to lose it would be punishing an innocent person and saying the verdict of a jury doesn't count

j08 Wed 11-Sept-13 11:47:16

Actually, that Wasn't quite the question. smile

Want. Not should.

j08 Wed 11-Sept-13 11:48:22

You don't need to elucidate. Don't want to get sued. Just yes or no.

glassortwo Wed 11-Sept-13 11:49:41

jingle what are your thoughts on it.

j08 Wed 11-Sept-13 11:51:20

No

glassortwo Wed 11-Sept-13 11:52:26

Why?

glassortwo Wed 11-Sept-13 11:52:42

Can't just say no.

sunseeker Wed 11-Sept-13 11:55:18

He has been found not guilty therefore I see no reason why anyone need object to his returning to his job. Can't say anything about his acting abilities as I don't watch any of the soaps.

whenim64 Wed 11-Sept-13 11:55:37

Ah, I see what you meant, Jingle. No!

glassortwo Wed 11-Sept-13 11:57:20

No.

whenim64 Wed 11-Sept-13 11:57:50

Maybe this is a thread that needs to remain discreet about why such views are held.

Stansgran Wed 11-Sept-13 11:59:23

I didn't know who he was. I was a bit creeped out but the jubilation of the people surrounding him. Not much dignity there.

j08 Wed 11-Sept-13 12:01:37

Definitely when.

Just a yes or no. Best no discussion.

petra Wed 11-Sept-13 12:06:03

Have no thoughts one way or the other, j08. But am I and severally of my friends the only ones who had doubt from the first.
I worked with a chap once who was accused of raping a work colleague.
He was found not guilty and returned to work. I thought, what courage that takes.

Ana Wed 11-Sept-13 12:07:56

I don't understand the 'want not should' bit...confused

j08 Wed 11-Sept-13 13:13:04

Ana! hmm grin

Do you want, in your heart of hearts to see him back? Not should he be allowed back. (because of the verdict)

Ana Wed 11-Sept-13 13:18:17

Oh! That's hard. He'd be no loss to the Street and I can't say I've missed him at all, but I think on balance I do want him back because otherwise what message would that send out to the public?

merlotgran Wed 11-Sept-13 13:29:15

I don't watch Corrie but do you think the advertisers who have all the muscle in the end might affect ITV's decision to have him back?

petallus Wed 11-Sept-13 13:32:57

I watch Corrie regularly. I don't particularly like the Kevin Webster character. However, I do think M le V should be given his job back.

Anniebach Wed 11-Sept-13 13:36:08

Apologies, I misread the question

Charleygirl Wed 11-Sept-13 13:36:26

Yes
