I'm looking forward to Saturday night as it should be a very close call!
Good luck to them all, I don't mind who wins, as they've all worked so hard.

If many people are as soddy minded as me, it could well have an adverse effect.

GrandmaMiney Fri 20-Dec-13 10:06:52

OK--over and out!
I'm sorry if I've abused the SCD site, the support has meant a lot to me, so thank all of you who have.
Enjoy tomorrow's show. smile

Charleygirl Fri 20-Dec-13 10:09:13

GrandmaMiney have you any idea what type of dances Susanna is doing?

Lona Fri 20-Dec-13 10:14:23

Charleygirl I think she's doing a Paso, a quick step and a show dance.

Jings that wasn't really necessary.

Charleygirl Fri 20-Dec-13 10:20:34

3 dances are a lot to do at any age but the adrenalin will keep Susanna going. I do hope that she does well tomorrow evening.

Jings totally uncalled for.

annodomini Fri 20-Dec-13 10:32:50

GrandmaMiney, ignore jingl. She's back to her usual self now. If any one of us was in the same position as you, we would surely be keen to ask for support and I suspect that you, for one, would give it. You were one of us long before Susanna became a Strictly competitor so we know you didn't join GN just to 'drum up' support. Good luck. Hope you survive tomorrow night, not to mention Susanna - the competition is very stiff!

merlotgran Fri 20-Dec-13 10:38:09

That's what mums are for jingl

I've enjoyed having someone to follow from week to week and Susanna has done us proud getting through to the final.

Good Luck tomorrow, Susanna tchgrin

jinglbellrocks Fri 20-Dec-13 10:46:18

I would n' t do it. That's for sure.

A nno, I am always my usual self.

Galen Fri 20-Dec-13 10:47:20

Don't Jing that's not nice!

Galen Fri 20-Dec-13 10:48:04

Good luck Susannahtchsmile

Granny23 Fri 20-Dec-13 10:50:19

Was just coming on to say exactly what Anno has said when she beat me to it. So I'll just add some thanks from me and, I have no doubt, many others who have found that your insider knowledge and personal involvement have given added interest to the competition for us all. Your Daughter has done you proud and thoroughly deserves our support on her own merits. I remember your determination when you were walking a marathon - it must run in the family.

Please ignore the attention-seeking poster who cannot bear to see someone else in the limelight and don't deprive us of sharing in this final hurdle - 1st, 2nd or 3rd - the girl did good. grin

moomin Fri 20-Dec-13 10:57:01

Good luck to all the dancers tomorrow night is what I say! I reckon it's a pretty close call between all four of them. I'm sure we are all independent enough to vote (if we wish) for whomever we think should win the trophy so I don't find it a problem if GrandmaMiney asks for support.

Susanna has does really well and deserves to be in the final, that's for sure smile

janthea Fri 20-Dec-13 11:15:59

GrandmaMiney It's been very interesting reading your posts and ignore the 'nay-sayer' We are all rooting for DD tomorrow evening.

Elegran Fri 20-Dec-13 11:32:10

I've not even been watching it before (doing other things), but I shall watch the final and vote.

Tegan Fri 20-Dec-13 11:39:29

I have to admit to not being a 'Strictly' watcher; never have been but must say that it always adds an extra edge to anything when you have a 'connection' of some kind to it, whether it's a tv programme or sport of some kind. Which means that, for once I'll probably watch it tomorrow and hope that Susanna does well. I'll not vote cause I never have but my thoughts will be with GrandmaMiney knowing how nervous she'll be [and, how proud; win or lose]. Good luck.

MiceElf Fri 20-Dec-13 11:52:03

I've never watched, but now I shall, and vote for Susannah, anyone with a lovely mum like grandma Miney gets my vote.

JessM Fri 20-Dec-13 12:02:58

Yes good luck to Susannah (said with a twinge of regret that a certain gymnast is not a finalist this year - that was the sexiest bit of dancing I've ever seen!)

Soutra Fri 20-Dec-13 12:12:04

Seems ike the Christmas bonhomie has run out a bit early this yeaar - or did someone just get out of the wrong side of bed?
GrandmaMiney, at no point have I been aware of your soliciting votes for Susanna. Those of us who have chosen to support the daughter of a GN friend have done so entirely of our own volition and it is petty and mean spirited of anybody to suggest otherwise. So back off jinglebellsetc and keep your adverse effect to yourself. tchangry

Sook Fri 20-Dec-13 12:21:58

GrandmaMiney I for one would love to see your beautiful daughter win. Here's to Susannah wine

Galen Fri 20-Dec-13 12:27:57

grandmaminey come back please! we want to hear from you!
Pretty please with marshmallows?

Nonu Fri 20-Dec-13 12:31:46

Me too , lots of luck to you Suzannah !

tchsmile

Ana Fri 20-Dec-13 13:06:35

I don't think GrandmaMiney has retired hurt, or gone off in a huff - she's made of sterner stuff!

Good luck to all the contestants this weekend (but especially Susannatchwink)

Grannyknot Fri 20-Dec-13 15:10:36

Lots and lots of luck to all the contestants, including Susannah. It's been lovely having the 'insider' view from Miney, made it more interesting. I can't imagine having a daughter involved in something like this, and being a Gransnetter, and not sharing it with my mates on here.

In one way or another, they all deserve to win and they are all winners already for taking part.
