Mumsy - it was not kindly meant. Was it Craig who said it?

Oldgreymare Sun 24-Nov-13 13:16:39

Mumsy!!!!! Well she is a Mum..... rock on Susanna!
I thought her dance was super.
I also liked Brendon's choreography for Sophie, anyone watching Sophie perform knows she doesn't fling herself around and has cultivated the 'cool' look, it's her stage persona and she is hardly likely to alter that, Brendon played to her strengths!
I too thought Brucie was about to keel over, he got in such a muddle and found it difficult to move on. I'll bet they have a paramedic in the front row!

merlotgran Sun 24-Nov-13 12:09:31

I have a soft spot for Mark because I watched Land Girls with my two granddaughters and they loved it.

I think Brendan's choreography is a star act of its own.

annodomini Sun 24-Nov-13 11:22:18

Interesting opinions on the FB 'Strictly' page. Susanna is favourite there and the feeling is that the judges were very biased last night.

annodomini Sun 24-Nov-13 10:56:06

Ben looks like being next in line after - perhaps even before - Mark. I'll miss him when he goes. He has a lovely...personality. grin

Aka Sun 24-Nov-13 10:12:42

Nothing spectacular from any of the dancers this week, all a bit lack lustre. Not the best choreography either. Wonder who'll be in the dance off with Mark?
Tess's face was a picture wasn't if? hmm

Charleygirl Sun 24-Nov-13 09:35:18

I record the programme so that I can now fast forward Bruce. I cannot stand the sight of him.

cazthebookworm Sun 24-Nov-13 09:33:03

Not Susanna best dance, but she was not the worst dancer on the night. With any luck she will be returning next week. I felt sorry for Sophie and Brendan, he was so upset that the judges did not appreciate his interpretation of their dance, I personally thought it was beautiful. Apart from Natalie, who we know has dance training behind her, they have all learned so much, I find it quite admirable. The less said about BF the better, so embarrassing, poor Tess just did not know what to do!!

PRINTMISS Sun 24-Nov-13 08:48:11

I know Mark can't dance (so does he!), but he is a joy to watch, I think. His face tells us how much he is enjoying himself, although I sometimes wonder if he must get really hot with all that strapping which shows up during rehearsals, round his knees. He will be out this week I am sure, and I will miss him.

grannyactivist Sun 24-Nov-13 01:43:30

I watch it on iPlayer and fast forward through the waffle. grin
I think that the standard of the dancing is incredible, considering that the celebrities were mostly novices at the beginning of the series. I do sometimes wonder if any of the contestants are so smitten with the dancing bug that they continue dancing when the competition is over.

annodomini Sat 23-Nov-13 21:24:01

Poor old Brucie really lost the plot for a moment. A sign of things to come?

Lona Sat 23-Nov-13 21:17:28

I thought at one point that BF was having a mini stroke shock

GMM Susanna did a fabulous dance, I'm sure she'll be there next week.

merlotgran Sat 23-Nov-13 20:40:47

DS texted to say that he can't watch BF anymore because he's afraid he'll do a 'Tommy Cooper'

Tess is beginning to look terrified!

Grandmanorm Sat 23-Nov-13 20:28:26

I voted for Susanna as I really liked her dance. I do wish that B F would give up the awful jokes and that he would retire.

whenim64 Sat 23-Nov-13 20:26:54

Funny that Susanna got similar marks to others who got more compliments, despite being called mumsy! They're just dredging up things to say. I thought she was magnificent. smile

GrandmaMiney Sat 23-Nov-13 20:20:33

What would I do without you? smile Thank you so much, all of you who voted for DD.
Unsurprisingly it is a bit of an anticlimax after last week but, hey, that's life. No ups without the downs. But thank you for your support, I really appreciate it.
I just knew I shouldn't have said I'd go next week. Counting chickens and similar proverbs come to mind--just hope I haven't put the kibosh on her. 23 hours of high anxiety now--so I've locked away the wine!
Think I may have to fill my hottie, get my Horlicks and go to bed with a book grin. See you tomorrow--in joy or sorrow!

annodomini Sat 23-Nov-13 19:55:43

I thought it was hard luck that Susanna had to dance first, but it was probably good to get it over with and be able to watch the others. She put a lot more of her personality into her dance than, say, Natalie or Sophie. Of course I voted for Susanna!

Deedaa Sat 23-Nov-13 19:43:49

I thoroughly enjoyed Susanna's dance. Admittedly I don't know much about the technicalities of the cha cha, but I thought it was lively and sexy - what's not to like? The trouble is every one now is so good the judges are going to have to pick up every little thing.

Ana Sat 23-Nov-13 19:37:48

Susanna didn't do that badly! As merlot says, they all seem to be coming up for criticism this week - perhaps to keep them on their toes?
(sorry...)

merlotgran Sat 23-Nov-13 19:34:44

They're all getting a lot of criticism this week so it will be interesting to see who goes through.

Fingers crossed for Susanna and we'll be voting for her. smile

GrandmaMiney Sat 23-Nov-13 19:09:37

DD and the CCC are not happy bunnies sad
If you can bear to vote to keep her in, so she can do better next week (!)--what can I say....[hopefully TQ]

cazthebookworm Sat 23-Nov-13 17:35:55

Yes GrandmaMiney, I never danced as a teenager and have been married to two men who never danced, but all my life I have wanted to but was never brave enough or had the opportunity. Watching SCD, my secret fantasies come alive, I am transported twirling and floating, my supple body and immaculate footwork gliding around the dance floor, as graceful as a ballerina. In my dreams!! But I do actually find my arms floating involuntarily and my hands shaping in order to please Craig. Good luck to Suzanna, and everyone, they are all brilliant and bring so much pleasure to us viewers.

merlotgran Sat 23-Nov-13 13:31:36

I know I can no longer dance and wasn't much good when I could but I do love the surprises that Strictly throws up. I expected Rachel Riley to be better and what about Lisa Riley last year??

Good luck with the cha cha, Susanna. It's great having someone to cheer on and vote for. smile

Ana Sat 23-Nov-13 11:40:22

I never think of myself doing the dancing, nor do I have any aspirations in that direction. I just like to watch the contestants doing their best.

Lona Sat 23-Nov-13 11:31:19

Me too! I missed last weeks show, good luck to 'our Susanna', I'll be voting!
