Hurrah!! What with the wonderful weather and Andy Murray's win....Summer just gets better and better.

Will keep my eyes glued to the TV listings so as not to miss the good stuff.

I cannot tell you how very much I LOVE the proms. What a treat it all is! I love watching it on our big screen - it is even better than being in the concert hall. The camera work is brilliant - focusing on each instrument, and the extra interviews and information is wonderful. How very lucky we are indeed.

I love them too, and my friend and I are planning to go next year, if she is well enough, and as she says,'Still has both her boobs!'

We did The Sea Symphony at the end of year concert at college (Goldsmiths). How I wish I could have been in that chorus last night. ''Behold, the sea itself!'' Magnificent.

What an amazing performance (BBC4) of Rach 2 by the Japanese pianist, Nobuyuki Tsujii who is blind since birth. It was so moving. I don't think I've ever heard such loud applause from the Prommers.

It was incredible, superb.! I'm so glad I didn't miss that performance.Only wish I'd been there in person.

We were in tears. It seems he can only really control his hands when he's playing the piano. I read somewhere that he started bashing his toy piano when he was about two (like all kids do) when his mother realised he was playing tunes from The Sound of Music.

I agree with merlotgran...Nobuyuki Tsujii's performance at last night's Proms was unforgettable. Both Mr soop and I were moved to tears when the audience gave him a standing ovation. If you "google him" you'll see videos of him playing on a toy piano when he was just two years and a few months old. Remarkable, doesn't do him justice. I have shared the video of Last night's performance on my Facebook page. flowers

Maniac Yes, to have been in the audience, must have been a very special experience. I felt that I wanted to hug him...as did the conductor.

The admiration on the faces of the orchestra, spoke volumes. smile
