Wherever it was the Famous Five used to stay, with Kirrin Island a quick boat trip away!
Me too - though I would have liked some horses thrown in too 😃
Joking aside, I loved where we lived when I was a child - surrounded by hills and woods and streams, and I and a few other local children were allowed the freedom to really enjoy them from quite a young age. That part of my childhood was great.
I grew up in central London and enjoyed the excitement of the city, especially in the late 60s. I was fortunate to spend the summer holidays in rural Scotland with all the freedom and adventures that came with it.
Liverpool, because my maternal Grandparents lived there. I lived in a village in Co. Durham surrounded by fields and countryside.I suppose I had the best of both worlds, city and country, and I did live in Liverpool for a few years as I went to College there.
I wanted to live in the magic land that was shown at the beginning of Disney films, with a beautiful smiling fairy lady carrying a wand and drawing the sky from dust to night time.
Never wanted to live anywhere else than where I have since I was almost 12. 18 miles to Glasgow ,30 miles to Stirling 2 miles from Loch Lomond and surrounded by hills Why would I want to live anywhere else?
London, because it’s the capital and Oxfordshire as my aunt and godmother lived there in a fairytale village where I spent the long school summer holidays.
I lived in London and wanted to stay there but I would have appreciated more greenery other than just parks. We used to go into the Kent countryside for walks. As I got older I wanted to leave the whole place and Ted Heath finally convinced us to get out with his 3 day week.
I grew up in Liverpool moved to the outskirts as a child. When I married I moved about five miles away but I was really homesick. I moved back very close to where I grew up when my son was six months and had my daughter three years later then divorced. I remarried and I live the same area from where I grew up it's home to me no place else will do.
