If you`re in the Fort William area at anytime, try the Nevis Experience, a cable car ride up a mountain, there`s a cafe and shop at the top, and sports for them as wants `em.

I'll be heading off to the highlands soon with a friend (very excited - haven't been for such a long time!) and am after a few recommendations if anyone has any
Specifically for hotels - after a large hotel in/around Inverness and am willing to pay more for something that's a bit special, but i can't seem to find anything quite right on line! I'm thinking somewhere old with a roaring fire in the evenings since it'll be cold 
Also, we're planning visits to Skye, the Nessie centre, Urquhart castle, Culloden, maybe fort william (we're hiring a car)...is there anywhere we've missed? Thanks to anyone who has any tips!
