Victoria Starmer, especially, and Giorgia Meloni both chose well for the G7 summit in Évian-les-Bians in sweltering temperatures.
Brigitte Macron looks a bit stiff, but smart as usual, imo.

Here's Brigitte Macron in another outfit this evening waiting to receive Trump at Versailles.

Stunning, I love black column dresses.

Here is an article with lots of Victoria Starmer dresses, mega enjoyable as to the variety. with a drop sea gorgeous figure, she can carry off so much

Being Prime Minister's wife is like being second division to the royal family dress wise. Safely and discretely middle of the range in fashion.

How people look in their clothes depends on their shape, their size and their deportment. Mrs Starmer is slim with long dark hair and good department. All those garments look good on her. on other people they would look baggy and bunchy.

I think all the past PMs wives have dressed beautifully and appropriately.
Carrie Johnson, Rishi's wife (name?), Lady Starmer.

I think you’re right MartavTaurus, they were all career women before their husbands became PM, so would be well aware of the need to dress the part.

Thanks for the Grazia link Wyllow3.
I like her in most of them.

The ME+EM seem to me to be the least flattering ones.

Of course they have always looked good. They are tall slim with good legs and good deportment . Could look good in a hessian sack.

Suppose the PM's wife was short and fat. Would you say the same?

Yes, I would actually.
Sarah Brown and Cherie Blair weren't exactly slim if I remember. Their legs were probably average, not that I really paid much attention.
They both looked great in their own confident style, and knew how to carry thenselves.

If you want a short fat woman, then I think Angela Merkel always looked exceptionally well turned out, although she wasn't a PM's wife of course.

Sarah Brown and Cherie Blair, not exactly thin? Not exactly fat either. If they are your idea of fat, then you have succumbed to the belief that no woman can be too thin. Fat means size 20 plus at least.

I can never remember seeing photos of Sarah Brown, she probably had better things to do. Cherie Blair's taste in clothes was erratic to say the least and none the worse for that.

I have never understood why male politicians have to clutch to their spouses closer and closer, the higher up the political tree they go. Neither Margaret Thatcher nor Teresa May did. Their spouses sensibly played least in sight. I cannot say we see much of Mr Badenoch. How does he dress? Should we be concerned?

Maybe he wears a kilt?🤪
