Sarah Brown and Cherie Blair, not exactly thin? Not exactly fat either. If they are your idea of fat, then you have succumbed to the belief that no woman can be too thin. Fat means size 20 plus at least.

I can never remember seeing photos of Sarah Brown, she probably had better things to do. Cherie Blair's taste in clothes was erratic to say the least and none the worse for that.

I have never understood why male politicians have to clutch to their spouses closer and closer, the higher up the political tree they go. Neither Margaret Thatcher nor Teresa May did. Their spouses sensibly played least in sight. I cannot say we see much of Mr Badenoch. How does he dress? Should we be concerned?

Yes, I would actually.
Sarah Brown and Cherie Blair weren't exactly slim if I remember. Their legs were probably average, not that I really paid much attention.
They both looked great in their own confident style, and knew how to carry thenselves.

If you want a short fat woman, then I think Angela Merkel always looked exceptionally well turned out, although she wasn't a PM's wife of course.

Being Prime Minister's wife is like being second division to the royal family dress wise. Safely and discretely middle of the range in fashion.

How people look in their clothes depends on their shape,their size and their deportment. Mrs Starmer is slim with long dark hair and good department. All those garments look good on her. on other people they would look baggy and bunchy.

By the "casual smart" look she looks like a real human woman not a dolled up "celeb". Accessible, friendly, "real".

The men could have done with light colours and perhaps linen suits with no ties.

I know that there is a lot of brown around at the moment, but to me it’s a winter colour, we have enough of drab colours around in the colder months. I will admit though to some brown clothes do look very smart, I just won’t be buying any.

Oh yes, that person looks lovely, MartavTaurus. It is indeed a very good colour to wear when I eat spaghetti bolognaise. I have real) reddish chestnut hair but dark eyes so can wear red but I have to be picky with the exact colour. It’s a winter colour for me, as well.

Madame Macron looked very smart. Nice legs, nice skirt length.

Mrs. Carney, PM Takaichi looked smart and appropriate.
