Curling tongs anyone?

I tame my thick wavy mop with a Babyliss drying brush with a small barrel. Cost about £35 iifc.

I have a revamp curling brush with retractable bristles only £40 from amazon. It's brilliant at eliminating frizz !

If I want to enhance my shoulder length layered curly/wavy hair I use my Babyliss Curl Secret. It defines curls and adds shine.
I have to confess that I usually don't bother to style my hair at all as I have a painful shoulder, just dry naturally with leave-in conditioner.

I have naturally curly hair but when it needs re styling it goes flat at the back. I bought slim Nicky Clarke tongs from Amazon they are very good at keeping the curl in.

Has anyone had any success using curling tongs or similar on fine, frizz prone, chin length wavy-ish hair? Don't want to invest in yet another gadget if it's unlikely to work. Advice, please!

I have similar hair to yours, and I occasionally use straighteners (cheap Boots ones). I get a better, smoother finish if I spray first with a leave in styling spray (the current one is Pantene).

I have straighteners just to keep my fringe in order. £3 from a charity shop.

Can you borrow some from family/friend to try out? Plenty have ones they never use sitting in a cupboard. You can buy your own if you take to them. Ask around.

I use a Revlon hot brush. Tongs and straighteners damage my hair with repeated use, it's very fine.

Curling tongs 😱 I can still smell singed hair and ears from when my DM used curling tongs on my hair! They were the type that were heated on the hob.

I use tongs all the time on my thick naturally wavy hair to smooth it down after drying naturally..
My hair is shoulder length now but when it was a chin length bob my sister tonged it for me.
I find tongs create the look I want better than straighteners.

As do I. Wouldn't be without them. I ditched my curling tongs many moons ago.
