Following on from a lot of today's talk of fashion what was your worst fashion faux pas when young?
I bought a dress for a student ball it had a black pin-tucked top and a flowing flowery skirt I thought it was stuning.
The ball was in the city where my now DH was a student and I was staying with a friend. I had tried the dress on a few times with shoes etc all well. I dressed in her bedroom putting on a black bra.
When I came out she doubled up laughing, under certain light, the top was see-through. I tried one of her nude bras and it was no better. She then produced a new innovation a nude body stocking.
Unfortunately, although you could not see the bodystocking you could certainly see me.
My DH was very shocked and so were a lot of his mates. By the end of the night, I was walking like Quasimodo, my friend was a good few inches shorter than me and I did not dare undo the poppers under the crotch.
