I used to trip (not literally) about in fluffy flip flops.
Now i can trip (literally) in Nora Batty type footwear.
I need warm, comfy, safe slippers that don't remind me of my gran's with a zip up the front.
Any ideas please, you stylish grans out there?

I second Moshulu, my current ones are on their third winter.

I am adding a photo of the slippers my partner bought me last year for my birthday- to make the cat lovers smile.

I wear a pair of my old Uggs - non trippable & very cosy - no socks inside too as recommended.

My house boots from Celtic Sheepskin are lovely. Soles are tough enough to wear outside, but lighter than their outdoor boots.

And Celtic sheepskin boots are made in Cornwall. ?

Just went on Deichman ? I’m a cheapskate. Some nice slippers there…

Uggs or cheap copies are cosy with good soles.

I ordered some Skechers Bobs yesterday because I like a decent sole. I've been 'tripping' around in a pair of Cotton Traders loafers all summer - very practical smile

If, like me, you have extra wide feet, plus bunions, plus plantar fascitis and a tendency to gout, you might be prepared to splash out on these. They are Fit flop Shuv slippers . I don't possess any but I do have their Shuv outdoor shoes which are the only pair of shoes I can comfortably wear and are better even than no shoes/slippers because the sole is anatomically moulded and whatever that means, it definitely makes a huge difference in comfort.
When I can afford it, I shall invest in the slippers, but tend to walk about in just socks at the moment!!

I like to get Padders from The Original Factory Shop, either in Leominster or Portmadog. Theres quite a few of those shops in small towns dotted around the UK. I find Padders comfy and last well

Lovely slippers Nortsat

Seriously envious of those slippers, Nortsat. If anything could persuade me to wear slippers they would.
