Now that we've discussed the comfy bra, what about the knickers?

They are the Australian name for what we call 'flip-flops!

When my children were little and I had no money I always said that when I could afford it I would wear 'best knickers' every day, and I do, always with matching bras.
The style has changed over the years from small sexy ones to larger more forgiving ones but I still get the best I can afford.
They just make me feel good and that I value myself every morning when I get dressed.

I ordered a 3 pack of waist high knickers from Matalan in desperation of finding a comfy pair.Hey Presto-do not dig in anywhere,fit snugly and are SO comfy I immediately ordered more packs.They come in various colours,pastel and deeper shades too.Not exactly sexy but I'm happy to sacrifice that for comfort!They are called seam free knickers in full or high leg styles and only £6 for 3 pairs.Having tried many expensive ones,I thoroughly recommend these!

They look nice under clothes and are very comfortable.

No M&S where I live in Nova Scotia. On my last visit to England I bought a whole load of big pants that came up to my waist, lovely!
Since then I've lost weight, and my big pants are too big! Now what? I eventually went to Winners which is our TKMax, and got some lovely pretty Lacey little numbers made in silky fabric that feel so good.

Sloggis - every time - wash and wear well - pull you in- BUT they are expensive.

I've been wearing the shorts type from Asda lately. I do prefer them to the minis that I wore until then. I tried sloggis, but didn't like them at all. Plus DD called them "old lady pants".

I have a drawer full of knickers, including Sloggis in different sizes, but there isn't one pair that's really comfortable. I don't like the ones which are cut up at the sides. I quite like the 'midi' style which frees the waist but I like legs which completely cover my bum. In the old days M&S used to do panties like that, sometimes in a lacey fabric but then it became cool to show as much of your derriere as poss.
Sloggi is the right shape round the legs but I find them too constricting. Although I'm only a 37in hip and buy anything up to 42in they all leave a red mark round the top of my thighs.

I think I might have mentioned my unfortunate incident when I left the house in a hurry wearing the jeans I had on the previous night only to be told by a shop assistant that I had something trailing from my leg. It was only my dirty knickers from the night before that had got stuck donw the leg of my jeans !

Anyway back on topic. I like a nice smooth no vpl. Not too skimpy not too big. Sometimes white, sometimes black, somtimes coloured depending on how I feel and what I am wearing.

I'm afraid I like the granny pants which come under my bottom and up to my waist and give a good outline. I'm not overweight, but even so bikini or midi ones cut into my flesh and don't give a good outline. I have some no VPL ones as well which are full pants and very comfortable.

BRedhead59 - I get mine where I see sale offers, Debenhams and sometimes online.
They do several styles, HildajJ, but maybe they'd all be classed old!

Tescos do some no seam shorts 2 for £5 and they're really comfortable - I am quite large, and they don't cut into me at all.

I get the M&S midis which I have sent to me here in NZ. They are more comfortable, last longer and are cheaper than any I can get here. Good old Marks and Sparks!

M&S Highlegs. Very pretty as you can get them to match your bras, or packs of the same if you want cotton mix or non VPL.

Cotton knickers. M and S, waist high come in a packet of six, patterned and plain. Most comfortable and practical. Women should never, ever wear manmade fabric knickers. And my husband likes them. So result all round.
PS if I had the money I'd wear silk. Silk knickers are amazing.

Oops - I put this on the wrong thread yesterday! Who Made Your Pants are having to close down. Their stock of pretty, comfy, well made pants are now in their final sale. I'll have to get some now as Christmas stocking presents for my older GDs! Worst of all their workforce will have to look for other jobs.
