Username

I quite like it when someone shortens my name to Sal or Shy, even though it is fairly short anyway. I do often abbreviate user names of others, but more likely to do so with a name I recognize. It is something we do with friends .

I would certainly be happy with mine shortened to glamma,specially this morning when I look as if I have been through a hedge backwards after gardening

I'm quite happy to be When, but it can cause confusion if Whenim64 (hope the spelling is correct) is on the same thread!

I usually shorten names if it someone I regularly respond to such as Grey for Greyduster.

I don't mind at all when people shorten mine to N&G .

I'm quite often kitty and happy to be so but there are at least 2 more so it could be confusing.

I shortened mine (from the much longer line from a song) when the shortened version was used by another poster. It made more sense.

I'm quite happy to be called MD, as some posters do.

In another place, I'm often referred to as Scribe and have no probs with that!

I like Imp - probably brings out the worst in me though .

I could' nt think of a good username when I joined, so I used the first part of my email address. I'd quite happily be hjj. I know they are only letters but it will save confusion with HildaW.

I am happy to be known as Charley- I only added girl to show that I am female. Those who "know" me refer to me as that.

Occasionally some members shorten my name to "pho" , which doesn't look right, or "sound" right, if you think about it.

Phonetically, either Fee or Phee would work, but spelling wise, just doesn't work!
