All new members should have to undergo a probationary period...........

It's mostly sentimental value these days...

(I may weep...)

Only one?

Galen !!

Galen

Can you name any other odd people on Gransnet?.

Frank

I don't like cake....am I banned?!

Gosh Frank , you Have been told !!

I for one cannot really see the harm !!!

I was referring to feetle's 'family jewels' which he referred to in the singular. I was medically interested, not to strange people!

You don't like CAKE Ana? Not even angel cake? Or carrot cake? Or chocolate brownies? Or battenburg? Or swiss role? Or, or, or, or.........

Swiss roll....not fat fingers. I'm in shock.

What do you do for your birthday? Stick a candle in a sausage roll?

No - a cheese and onion quiche. I am a very savoury person!

I don't really like cake either but am partial to the occasional glass of gin and tonic. If anyone has to take a test, it should be graduates. I don't like twinsets but do like pearls. I thought it was [red] wine that was said to dissolve pearls. The way to keep pearls lustrous is to wear them – dead easy. I like odd and I like a lot of odd gransnetters. I could list you but GNHQ will delete me – you know who you are. I like being odd too. So there.

Does it matter what colour the twin set is. As I don't already have one, I thought I'd rush out and buy one but I'd check the most acceptable colour. I do have pearls but not quite sure where they are and I can't stand gin. [worried emoticon]

But, I lurve cake

I like gin and I have some pearls, but they're not real, and I don't have a twin set thank goodness.

I think I'm a little bit odd sometimes, but I don't have access to any black balls!

Hello everyone. I'm new to this site and forum. I have pearls but threw the Twinset away years ago but have a shawl. How many posts before I'm through my probation?

I'm a newby too and thought I was joining a sane group of people who would be serious about life in general and especially about being a Grandparent. I can't tell you how pleased I am that I was wrong - you lot seem to be part of the barmy brigade and so 3 loud cheers for that !

I like gin, vodka and wine but champers does it for me every time. Nothing better than sitting in my hot tub drinking champers cos I can now I'm retired! Grand kids like it too. (The hot tub that is not the champers - they're a tad too young to be enjoying themselves).

pleased that you dont have to eat cake to qualify as I can take it or leave it... leave it mostly. But a vodka and tonic or a glass or two of wine now thats a different story altogether

Welcome! This is what we need, more mad members!

ella 'more mad members' ......... give us a bad name

I suppose it depends where you're from. You all from down south. I'm in the Midlands and we're all slightly bonkers here. Must be the fact that we are surrounded my fields.

I dont think geographically it makes any difference on here , I am from the North East, but we are surrounded by fields.

Well I'm off to my Zumba class shortly and then shopping. Diet class tonight then more Zumba. Mondays are alway busy. Talk soon.

Ah just seen your post. I used to work in the North East and have family up there too. Great place.
