I nearly fell for this.
After paying for an order that had gone through smoothly, I had an email from eBay itemising the goods I'd bought (with different prices shown) saying the payment hadn't gone through and I must pay (again). The email looks very authentic with no noticeable errors. I responded saying I'd already paid but that email didn't show in my eBay message section - because it was a scam.
Watch out for any emails with suspicious content from eBay and if subsequent correspondence doesn't show in your eBay message box, report as spam/spoof
