* What were your and your DC's first impressions of Cadbury Egg n Spoon?*
The egg box style carton was appealing, but personally I would prefer the use of an ampersand instead of the "n" . I thought that the fact that there were 4 eggs and only 2 spoons might be inclined to give the impression that each person was intended to eat 2 eggs each!
Which flavour did your children try? What did they think of the taste/texture/size etc? We had the cream mousse. I did wish that we had put them in the fridge prior to tasting, as DGS (aged 4) took all the foil off his before eating, and his warm little hands soon had an effect on the chocolate casing! The taste of the chocolate was what you would expect from a quality brand, however although I have a sweet tooth, I found the filling a little too sweet for my taste (although not as sickly as Cadbury's Creme Eggs!) I thought the size was just right, and the texture of the mousse was light and fluffy.
* How did your DC eat the egg? Did they find it fun to eat or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about it?* They both found it more fun than an ordinary chocolate treat, such as a small bar of chocolate. However I think that if we were out and about for the day and I was looking for a chocolate type treat, I might be more inclined to buy them a small bar and give it to them 1 piece at a time, rather than the eggs, purely down to the mess that they managed to get themselves into! With a 4 year old and a 2 year old, this would have to be an indoors/at home treat!
Would you say your child found the Egg n Spoon more of a special treat compared to other chocolate they eat or not? If so why is this? If not, why not? I think they found it more fun than convential chocolate, because of the different way of eating it.
If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the Cadbury Egg n Spoon to a friend? If so why? If not why not? I don't often find myself discussing chocolate, but whilst I would be happy to recommend this product, I think that I would add the proviso that it is perhaps one to be eaten at home, rather than when out and about! (This would of course depend on the age of the children.) I would also be interested to know the retail price of the product, as that may have some influence as to any recommendations.
Thank you for allowing my DGC's and I to try this.
