Now you have all finished being nasty, while my carer and are were in bits (and still are to an extent), I'll explain a little more. The cats were called Fish and Littlewhitething and were about 4 years old. We have had them both from kittens - their mother, another of our cats has since sadly died of leukemia - and LWT was so-called because he was white and not very large. Fish was a beautiful dark grey, with a tiny, tiny patch of white on her tummy; so named because when she laid in the sun, slightly darker marks showed through, like a mackerel.
I feel sick that anybody would think I made this up. Why would I? We love our cats very, very much.
There are 27 cats that live along, or just behind, this quiet cul-de-sac (2 more quiet cul-de-sacs to be exact) and, as you might expect, they wander around quite freely as almost everybody that comes down these roads is aware that there are cats and children about. That even includes the delivery drivers. We have been here 5 years and NO cat has been run over in that time. Anywhere round here.
We later found out more about what had happened from a friend who happened to have just turned out of our road into the marginally larger one that joins the 3 CDS together, if you can imagine that. The carer came up that road so fast she nearly hit said friend; it seems if she hadn't swerved (Tyre marks on kerbstone prove this) said carer would have hit her car sideways on. So the carer was doing well in excess of 30mph when she turned the corner and hit our two cats. From their positions on the road and the fact that one was barely touched - but equally dead - and the other was like a bag of jelly when I picked her up, she must have glanced LWT and run right over Fish. A neighbour three doors down saw this. He came running to our (open) front door, yelling and I was outside within a minute to see the Carer pull up 20yds away. She got out of the car and said 'I think I might have hit your cats' : MIGHT even though the evidence was just behind her! I yelled something and she disappeared into the house where the cared-for live, laughing. Is that graphic enough? Do you still think I am a troll or making things up? FFS get a grip, people report sad things on here that relate to their lives and if it's a child or a dog, sympathy comes pouring out like the Thames. But my 2 cats? Oh no, they're a laughing matter. Look at their pictures and have a good giggle.
