If I was trying to catch a ferry I’d be furious.

I can’t find any hard news on who they are or what they want .
Could be anger about migrants in the local towns or lack of edible food on the ferries 😁

Strange how the word patriotic used to be construed positively.
Xenophobic platform or jingoistic platform might be more accurate.
These thoughtless individuals are hurting their own people, but clearly don’t care. 🤷‍♂️

Hi, just to clear up my post.
I was not saying that the protestors were local.
I was referring to some people from Dover and their MP who had said (on Twitter / on news coverage) that the protest had stopped traffic etc so disrupting everything.
P and O put out a statement I believe about ship sailings as well so I supposed travellers could have been delayed.

Let’s just hope this doesn’t turn ugly. I feel that masked protestors seem threatening and rather sinister, if this was just a peaceful protest people would show up without masks.

I don’t think anyone was implying that black and red worn by ordinary people in everyday life is a problem but there can be certain connotations if worn uniformly together with masks to protest about people coming to this country.
But perhaps members are being disingenuous.
