H&M Again- Change Of Schools.

(304 Posts)

So H&M have changed the childrens school, after only a few days there.

Suddenly, the school run has become a huge security risk.

Did they not give any thought to this before enrolling them there? Practice runs at either end of the day, to assess the risks? šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Hardly the best start for two little children, moving continents, homes and schools in a matter of days.

Yet another reason for the ā€˜security’ issue to raise its head.

The manipulations are pretty obvious.

Did anybody stalk Sophie (then Wessex) when she had her babies in an NHS hospital in Frimley?
Or her children at school?
Or the Tindall children?
It seems to me the more fuss the Sussexes make the more they potentially exacerbate the situation.

In answer to this, from first hand observation, there is no fuss about security in the schools of other royal children. It is unobtrusive, at the parents' request, because they wish for their children to be as normal as possible. This in turn deters any hype or stalking.

Exactly this.

Pictures over the weekend showed H&M, hand in hand, (of course), strolling to a Cotswolds country pub for a meal.

Very busy pub, apparently, and cameras just happened to be about for said pictures.

Why?

Go out for a quiet meal yes, but why the need to tell the world, especially when ā€˜privacy’ and ā€˜security’ are such an issue.

No sign of the children, but perhaps it was in the week and they were ā€˜safely’ in school.

JenniRen Mon 05-Oct-26 22:47:59

Why would the paparazzi be driving in hot pursuit of the children on the way to school?

And why would any responsible driver be speeding through the country lanes of the Cotswolds with two small children in the car?

JenniferEccles Mon 05-Oct-26 22:44:27

Oreo your comment reminds me of the American South Park cartoon showing H and M on a ā€˜worldwide privacy tour’ showing M holding up a placard saying ā€˜stop looking at us’

Just about sums up their attitude in life generally.

Much as I wish they hadn’t come back here I would love Donald Trump to prevent them returning to the US !

I seem to remember it was said, HaM were chased through the streets of NYork it wasn’t exactly true, it was something to do with their security people.

I’m not sure anyone is blaming Diana for the crash that killed her.
Not her fault that the driver was DUI.
Not her fault that the driver was driving too fast.
Not her fault that the paparazzi were overly interested in where she was going or who she was with, but . . .
Definitely her fault for not wearing a seatbelt. That would be the same for any of us involved in a crash where we hadn’t bothered to belt up. And if our unbelted body hit and killed the driver we could be held criminally responsible for that death.

Why would the paparazzi be driving in hot pursuit of the children on the way to school?
I’m sure, even without security guards, whoever is driving them would not suddenly take off at to speed, nor would they be allowed to DUI.
I’m surprised the security arrangements hadn’t checked the traffic situation in advance. Are they in a convoy?
Any parent knows that even just 2 cars, determined to stick closely together can cause a traffic hazard on the school run at any school.

mokryna Mon 05-Oct-26 21:06:58

The seat belt did save the security guard in the front, he was the only one wearing one.

Calendargirl Mon 05-Oct-26 19:57:05

But no seat belt?

That might have saved her.

Iam64 Mon 05-Oct-26 18:36:09

Fascinating that Diana is being blamed for the crash that killed her. I’d be surprised if either passenger knew their driver wasn’t fit to drive. It’s reported he didn’t expect to work that evening. Given the more we learn about Al Fayed the more terrifying an employer he seems to be, it’s unforgivable but almost understandable that when instructed to drive, he didn’t expect

Similarly with H and M, any misfortune is their fault

JenniRen Mon 05-Oct-26 17:39:58

The children’ school here was recently being stalked by the paparazzi as well.

That was the foreign press and was appalling.

Unarmed security is not what Harry wants though is it? He wants armed protection which is only provided to working Royals while they are working (except for the King, Queen, William and family, the direct heirs). Princess Anne for example only gets protection when she is performing Royal duties, not in her own time. Harry thinks he and his family are extra special and should be treated differently while not giving anything back ie being a working Royal.

He didn’t ask to be born in the Roayal family nor the attention that comes with it.

Not all members of the Royal Family receive constant attention.

Harry and Meghan, however, do seek it at every opportunity. They could have lived a quiet and happy life without press intrusion but that did not seem to be what they wanted, which is puzzling as that was their stated aim when they left this country.

Sarnia news outlets are reporting that the police have confirmed that the photographers were foreign paparazzi.

These so called photographers do not have to uphold the pact that British media have with the royals regarding unsolicited photos.

I totally understand the concern of H & M and other parents at the school, especially as AI can manipulate any photo…

Agreed.

The King could easily pay for their security, putting an end to drama. He seems able to allow and perhaps pay for his horrid brother.

Charles does not pay for security or anything for his horrid brother.

Harry wants armed security. It is not possible in this country to hire armed security, only available to working Royals (and not on a full-time basis for most) and senior politicians at risk.

Harry and Meghan could pay for their own (unarmed) security.

As far as I'm aware nobody asks to be born into any family. Does he really not expect attention when he does TV interviews with 'celebrity' hosts or publishes a book full of details, many untrue, about private family matters?

Or turn up at black tie events in London.[dont think he goes in the back door].

fancythat Mon 05-Oct-26 17:25:12

Maybe they can’t return to the USA.

I have been wondering that too.

And kicked out before being thrown out.
Which wouldnt be a good look for their "brand".

And why I mention Portugal from time to time.
I dont think it will take that long for the Uk not to live up to their expectations, such as they are.

mokryna Mon 05-Oct-26 16:10:33

Maybe they can’t return to the USA. Harry wrote in his book that he had taken drugs. He may not have admitted to this fact when asked on his application to live in America. .

Why should he get protection not offered to other working members of the Royal Family, what makes him extra special to them?

Mollygo Mon 05-Oct-26 15:04:07

So you just blame the paparazzi for Diana’s death, because that suits your story Syracute?

H&M have the opportunities to sort this out, without demanding that children at school should have armed guards on the premises or on the school run.

I’m with Syracute on this.
It’s no wonder H and M don’t want to return to the UK.
Why are people so hateful towards them?

You clearly haven't a clue where Harry and |Meghan are.

Perhaps you're equally ignorant of where and how Diana died?

She was in France, a passenger in Dodi Fayed's car, where nobody was wearing a seatbelt. Fayed's driver was drunk (twice over the limit) AND under the influence of drugs, AND driving at twice the speed limit. He lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a pillar of the tunnel.

The car was also being pursued by the paparazzi.

The children’ school here was recently being stalked by the paparazzi as well.

Which was my point Norah. Harry wants armed security and the only way he can get that is if we pay for it so what does that have to do with the King?
