Sad news.

Saw her at the O2 - she was just great.

A talented and generous lady.

So very sad and a shock to hear that this lovely lady had gone. I didn’t realise she was 80! She was well loved and will.be missed. 💐

I don’t cry easily but I did cry when I heard she had died and watched a video she had put out explaining about her illness….
What an absolutely wonderful woman and there’s not many I can say that about….
Had a wonderful marriage, sixty years Hopefully, she’ll be reunited with Carl now….💐💐💐

Watching a programme about her on BBC1 I’ve just been reminded of my favourite Dolly quote:
When asked if she supported women’s lib she answered, ‘Yes I burned my bra but it took the fire dept. three days to put it out!’ 😂

MawsRosie I was about to post the same quote- it reflected her self deprecation and showed the rhinestones and wigs were the public Dolly, not necessarily the private one.
Another legend gone- what a year it’s been for so many famous losses; so sad. 😢

Not my kind of music but she was a country music legend with a real work ethic and deserved her fame.

She was a wonderful singer with a wonderful personality to match. RIP Dolly.

I just hope Trump isn't allowed anywhere near her funeral. He'll hi-jack the entire proceedings.
