So sad, I thought she would be going for ever

Sad news. Apart from her musical legacy, she was incredibly generous to charity, and her Imagination Library must have inspired thousands of children to love reading.

Oh thats sad news. She seemed ageless. My favourite song of all time "I will always love you' penned by Dolly- a very talented woman.

Oh no she was a one off RIP .

So sad, but I know that she had been ill of late.

She left a legacy of wonderful songs, many championing women's rights, and many literacy programs. My grandson receives a free book every month with her program, Dolly's Imagination Library.

I've always loved her beautiful voice, and cheerful disposition. She also kept her private life separate from the media, which I admired.

I am sad to hear this, she contributed greatly to child literacy, I am involved in a children services that received donations from her fund very recently.

What a legend.

I'm so sad! Coat of Many Colours always reminds me of my mother. She made all our clothes, often from remnant fabric.

And Dolly's version of I Will Always Love You, a song she wrote, is peerless.

So sad to hear this, I read she gave up a residency in Las Vagas due to poor health.

RIP Dolly , so sad . Amazing lady . I’m a country music fan and went to Nashville , sadly didn’t get to go to the Grand ole Opry . Elvis wanted to record I will always love you and Dolly turned him down

I posted on the other thread, which has been deleted due to it's duplication. So just to reiterate, so sorry to read she's died. An amazing presence not only for her contribution to the music world but also her philanthropy. She's going to be missed a true legend.
