"What a load of bitter old biddies" How strange that sounds as if you're describing yourself Paddyann, it's the unmistakable vitriol.
"The French had the right idea"the main instigators, namely Robespierre, Danton and Desmoulins all ended up on the guillotine too, is that what you had in mind as to the "right idea" Or possibly, as well as being one of those gloating old biddies furiously knitting whilst parked up around the guillotine as the heads rolled. Or no doubt you'd be pleased to know the son of Louis XV1 and Marie Antoinette, only a child, around 10 when he died was abused and mistreated whilst incarcerated. I expect that would have made you as happy but not as happy to know the Tsar's children were bayoneted before being slung down a mine shaft to their deaths.
“Bitter old biddies” - it takes one to know one paddyann as you have proved yourself time and time again.
I doubt if paddyann has any idea what happened during the French Revolution as her only reading matter seems to be the National …
