It has been suggested that both Reeves and Starmer were offered jobs by Burnham but both said no thanks, understandably in the circumstances. Lammy was a safe deputy but didn't get a chance to do anything, so who for DP?
Milliband maybe in charge of housing as well, a big job.

No, she left school early and went on to study sign language and social care qualifications.

I agree with those who are confused about the relevance. As an MP she was representing her constituents, which doesn't need a subject specialism, and not many degrees equip people for working in the Cabinet.

I’m happy too with John Healey as Chancellor. A man of integrity who stood down from Defence under KS because of a budgetary disagreement. I admired him for that.

Angela Rayner, has an NVQ level 2 which is regarded as equivalent to 4 or maybe 5 GCSEs.
Not everything should be measured by academic achievement.

On the whole, I see a cabinet with possibly more experience than some in the previous one.

Louise Haigh, who was forced to quit as transport secretary after details of her historic fraud conviction emerged, has been brought back into the Cabinet as First Secretary of State.

She is widely considered to be Mr Burnham’s right-hand woman and will be responsible for enforcing his will across Whitehall.

Ms Reeves left the Cabinet to return to the back benches earlier on Monday. She is said to have rejected a more junior role in Mr Burnham’s top team.
