Sympathy for Harry anyone?

Is there anyone left who has any sympathy for H&M after the recent pantomime? I’ve been in the ‘against’ camp since the birth of Archie when they deliberately misled the press and public with delayed announcements and made it clear they were doing things their way. Since then….well. I have a close friend who still thinks the sun shines out of Harry’s backside, he’s had a terrible upbringing and life, he should get an apology….I’m avoiding contact with her this week as I know she’ll have another excuse about him.

I have sympathy for any family struggling with estrangement.

He chose to estrange himself. After opting out of any royal role, not to mention slagging off his family, I don’t know why he thinks he’s entitled to official police protection.
If Charles stripped him of his princely status, I’d be the last one to object.

Yes, I agree. It was his choice. Unfortunately he hasn't realised that all actions have consequences.

The Palace were given 33,000 emails 6 years ago detailing all Andrew’s various misdemeanours hacked from Mr Rowlands Andrew business associate account.

The Palace did not pass this info to Thames valley police.
Charles says the law must take its course however, letters have also been sent out to staff reminding them of their confidentiality agreement.

What did Charles and William know, what are they hiding?

Quite frankly I do not believe this. I doubt that 33,000 emails passed between AMW and Rowlands. If it is 33,000 then it will be a dump of all Rowland's emails involving hundreds of people and I very sure they went to many people not just the palace.

My sympathy is with the individuals behind the Invictus Games.

Once again it’s all about Harry. 😡

I imagine in the fullness of time, Harry will inherit a goodly sum when the King dies.

Jaberwok Tue 07-Jul-26 17:25:41

Actually, Princess Anne was the Spare until Andrew was born in 1960.

Smileless2012 Tue 07-Jul-26 17:11:56

A proven liar under oath; how can anyone ever believe anything he says again.

eazybee Tue 07-Jul-26 17:10:57

Sorry, posted twice.

What a fool Harry is. Seven people into £50 million is a large amount to find even for a man who received a considerable inheritance.
And once again his loving wife is not here to console him.

I m remembering a photo of lilibet which was said to be a friend s child. And all the stories about whether the bump was real.
Hard to know what to believe.
But I have no sympathy for them after that hurtful interview and the book.
As someone has said Anne was also a spare but has lived her life with dignity and is the hardest working royal. She protected her children from the press but didn’t hide them away and make a big drama out of it.

Actually Anne was never the “Spare”, Andrew was!

Margaret was the Spare, Harry is the Spare. All three Spares are/were troubled and troublesome!

George VI was the Spare in his day and he turned out way better than his brother. (So for that matter was Henry VIII. )
I think too many people get hung up on concept of «the heir and the spare» in the past it was used to describe the «reserve» (usually male) in the event of the heir to the throne or to a title dying young- as so often happened.

eazybee Tue 07-Jul-26 17:06:01

Harry has shown once again what a fool he is; 7 into £50 million is quite a large sum to pay out even for a man who received a considerable inheritance.

And once again his loving wife is not here to console him.

Smileless2012 Tue 07-Jul-26 17:01:23

How do you know letters have been sent out to staff reminding them of their confidentiality agreement Samwam?

This thread is about Harry.

Harry is a very rich person, he decided with his wife to leave his family. I have no sympathy for either of them. He can pay for his family’s security not the poor UK tax payer.

I never liked Meghan from the time she showed the engagement ring off. When I mentioned that she was looking like the cat that got the cream, as she walked down the aisle before the wedding service, I was shouted down so much that I stopped posting on here for a while.

Charlotte is the ‘spare’ of the future and I hope she can live a free life on the lines of her Aunt.

JamesandJon33 Tue 07-Jul-26 16:26:44

Harry …just a little. Meghan …a resounding No

That will be split 7 ways and who knows Mr E John might pick up the entire bill

It’s just been announced that Harry has lost his phone hacking case against the Daily Mail
Along with every other person who took their case forward.
I wonder if they might have stood a better chance if they had not been linked to Harry who has been shown to have lied eg in knowing Charlotte Griffiths and goodness knows what else.“

I very much doubt it, this is the third media outlet H and the others pursued, the other two cases were won.

Harry needs to move forward with his life and get over all the 'poor me' stuff. He could do so much good for his charities if he just stopped being the centre of his own universe.
No sympathy here.

Be sure your lies will find you out. He swore under oath he didn’t know Mail journalist Charlotte Griffiths. Then the Mail KC produced text messages between him and her, Charlie G String, which proved a very cosy relationship.

The Mail journalists were queueing up to testify against him.

Well deserved.

Ouch, that will hurt. I feel a bit sorry for him now, 50 million £ is alot of money to find. He seems to wander into mishaps. Also it's very sad that his young family are almost estranged from their grandpa Charles. Very sad for the children, as they won't have any young memories of their grandpa (King) Charles at all at this rate. Burning bridges, and boats comes to mind.

Cold Tue 07-Jul-26 14:17:09

Harry has lost the court case against ANL!

He's going to have to find a way to pay his share of the almost £50 million of costs!

He seems to seek media coverage, though. Very strange.
