Another little bit of balance on GN as Max from @UNFTR breaks down the Supreme Court decision striking down Trump’s tariffs and the administration’s response.

This edition of Macro Take also digs into a slew of catastrophic economic data releases that piled up over the week from inflation and jobs to slowing GDP and flashing red lights in the financial markets.

Fed-Ex is suing Trump for lost revenue due to the ‘illegal’ tariffs. I wonder if other companies will follow suit.

Multiple are suing, though I don't have a list. He is going to bankrupt us for generations.

Well he did say that he could destroy the USA if he wanted to.

I see that various countries are beginning to withdraw from trade negotiations - India for one.

Bet Starmer is p….d off for dashing in so quickly.

Just listening to some criticism - Trump is trying to trash one if the arms of the constitution - the courts - and the congress has not, as they should have done, stood up and defended this arm of the constitution.

State of the union later today. Wonder how garbled and petulant that will be?

Immigration is also being used to divide British people. Shameful and shocking what some believe if it confirms their racist beliefs.

I am not watching it. I can't stand the sound of his voice and it is full of lies anyhow. It's more of a drinking game at this point. Though Dems are sitting Epstein survivors front and center.

He will probably continue to shoot himself in the foot anyway over the tariffs. Best to just sit back and let him.

I don't understand Trump's obsession with tariffs as it seems to hurt the people of the USA as much as the exporting countries. The man is so deluded it is hard to see how he's lasted so long! I understand he talked about going for a third term and changing the law to make that possible, but hopefully that won't become a reality!

If he goes then Dance becomes President, not sure that's any better.

Global Tariff Chaos - yet the US stock market remains strong.

My worry is that if/when Trump gets stopped there will be the most almighty market crash that will make the GFC look like picnic in the park.
He is determined to carry on, if he is defeated in the mid term elections it's going to be a massive task reversing everything and if we believe the Democrats no money to do it.

I was reading that there is a lot of collateralised debt driving that. Like the run up to the GFC.

I think that some ‘investors’ are going to try to realise their gains at the ‘top’ of the market and the whole lot will crumble.

We don't often agree, but if Trump is removed that will trigger the crash so we can't win.
