I think she is crazy. These are young single men who will receive cards with hearts and kisses from children and what will they think?
She is even saying once they have completed their cards she will take her grandchildren to their accommodation to hand them over. 😱

Glad you're enjoying the flat white! I remember years ago asking for one in the UK and seeing the bemused look on the face of the person behind the counter in the coffee shop.
You forgot to mention the ubiquitous sycamore, grows like a weed everywhere now, came over from Europe in the 15th or 16th century (probably not introduced by the Romans, apparently). Now an iconic symbol of Britain, as epitomised by the national outrage when the one in the Gap was felled.
And don't you just love Lidl with their Italian, Greek, French, Asian, Eastern European weeks!

She is a silly naive woman who really shouldn't be a councillor.

We are Allira. We all have a rich heritage; threads of ancestry mixing over generations to make a unique being. And the older I get the more I realise that every one of those beings has a story. Even if the outer shell appears mundane, crack it open and a whole other world reveals itself.
So, this morning, an article in The Guardian describes how charities and others are being falsely accused of sending inappropriate messages to asylum seekers.
Is this Thread the result of similar 'muck spreading'?
The charity named has been found not guilty.
This post was about a Green Party councillor NOT any charities.
Anyway, the Guardian is the most left wing newspaper so no surprises there!
Green Party councillors can get misrepresented, too.

I am sure they bring a smile to these people.
I think irs not easy being in an immigrant. People make snap judgements and it’s just appalling.
Many of these immigrants know little about the customs and social signals on a foreign country,/complete.ly diferent culture, particularly in relation to romance and the opposite sex.
Don't unsolicited valentine cards from unknown strangers, risk a completely wrong impression of women in UK ?

Exactly and there’s enough moves being made such as girls being raped in parks.

Apparently there has been a continuous misinformation campaign against a variety of targets, 'playing into a right wing trope' .
