Trump and Biden head to head

Biden is clearly unwell Syracute and I think not able to override the wishes of his family.
However leaving personalities aside is there no means of removing a President from office.

Accepting that there is no way to remove a President from office is one thing, after all he’s only got a few months to go in this term. However I don’t know why a candidate for the Presidency cannot be removed. He’s clearly unfit. Being told by those who wish to protect him that he has absolutely no problems in meetings is fine, but we don’t know if that’s true, when the evidence presented to us suggests something very different.
And the biggest worry is that leaving Biden in place leaves the door wide open to Trump!

There is a way to remove the President.

Biden introducing Zelensky as Mr Putin and referring to Kamala Harris as Vice President Trump will be beamed ariund the US and the world. This maintains the focus on Biden’s cognitive functioning and gives Trump a free run.
Imagine if the next presidential debate involved the awful, rambling, rude, nasty Trump and a young intelligent well informed democratic candidate.

Someone like Gavin Newsom. Actually, anyone but Trump. Biden deserves a graceful, happy retirement.

I agree Macadia. Much as I don’t think it’s Jill Biden’s job to tell him to step aside, I really don’t understand how any loving wife wouldn’t say you’ve been a brilliant President, that’s your legacy let’s retire and enjoy ourselves

Many Americans don’t share that opinion . You only need to see Trumps recent speech in Florida to see someone who is really unhinged and dangerous . I watched all of Bidens press conference 1 hour and 30 minutes . He talked coherently and concisely about the various questions put before him . Yes , he did have a trip up at the beginning . I am guessing no one here watched it in its entirety . News clips don’t show the whole picture .

The majority could see why the Labour Party with Corbyn as leader would win an election. The entire world can see that Biden as candidate enables the focus to be on his frailty and not on Trumps total unsuitability to be President

Yes, drama is what sells newspapers, so that is what is reported.
Luckily, enough readers in the US papers have complained about the slanted reporting against Biden and you now are starting to see a fairer reporting in the last days.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris both have Covid now.

I hear on the News that Joe might back down if he had a medical condition that required him to.

Perhaps he will develop issues following Covid, which will allow him to step down and save face?

I wondered that too Calendargirl or if he stays in office then any gaffes, stumbles or silent moments will be attributed to Covid brain fog ( which he seems to have been suffering from for years!)
