Not at all. I know the reality of creating a new settlement. I spent years on one - and it wouldn’t be what Labour calls a new town. I very much doubt that anyone here has that particular experience. So many will think it’s a good idea without having any idea of what’s involved and how long it takes before a sod is turned,
Not sure anyone here actually believes it’ll be quick or easy, or even come to full fruition, but we do need entire new towns, with good services and a solid infrastructure.
Although we may not be as knowledgeable as you in this particular area, many, if not all of us, do have knowledge, skills and experience in many other areas and sometimes you do tend to “poo poo” all of our comments.
Surely even you can see some of the damage your precious govt has done? Austerity was nothing to do with our cost of living crisis, Tories implemented it almost immediately they came into power, long before energy prices rose, or Covid or Brexit.
