I don't know if anyone heard this. I really don't blame him. The Conservatives think they are beyond reproach. They are not.

What did you you think you would have by your current age that you don't?
Just that, really. If she does, I may hide behind the sofa. I think it will be unbearable.

In answer to the OP's question - yes, she can. She's a puppet and is being told what to do. I hope she has the guts to resign before then for the sake of herself and her family - and us.

Yes, I was watching. It takes a great deal for Mark Drakeford to lose his temper, but he was so angry, and rightly so. The Tories will have no seats in Wales in Westminster according to the latest poll.

I don't think I have ever heard him do anything but reason with his opponents. He asked the Conservative what sort of world he belonged in. I'm afraid you would have to say the same for all their MPs. They should be hanging their heads in shame not trying to shift the blame yet again.
Thanks for link DaisyAnne. Sent to my Welsh friend in case she missed it. She has a Tory MP but doesn’t know anyone who’ll vote for him again.

Just seen it on Ch4 News. He wasn’t just angry he was visibly upset. And I don’t blame him!
Another thing to see. Suella Braverman's demented babbling during the debate on the policing bill (the one that clamps down on just about every form of protest) and wait for Yvette Cooper's response...

Tofu eating, I haven’t tried, but I do read the Guardian. ? Rock on Yvette.
Yvette Cooper for Prime Minister.
Braveman was really desperate! Tofu eating? Guardian reading?
What about muesli munching or sandal wearing?
Does anyone else wonder if Liz Truss had been a man in the exact same situation whether he would have been so publicly humiliated? Seems to me there is a strong element of sexism in there. No doubt at all that she brought the political recriminations on her own head. However, I think if she had been a man the party would have found a way round it so that public humiliation was not so obvious.
I'd love the whole Tory lot to go.
There is part of me that wickedly thinks, as she has nothing else to lose, she should appear at the lectern and announce she is calling for a general election and then watch them all run around like headless chickens. I think there has to be a vote to call the election but I did wonder that if they voted against calling one would that indicate they had confidence in her to continue?
Wasnt Public Humiliation good part of Johnson’s demise, or Clinton or Nixon, nothing to do with gender, everything to do with integrity and ability.
Johnson was lazy and couldn’t lie straight in bed so was sacked.
Devorgilla . Great idea. Go on Liz go for a general election ( if only) ?

I was also wondering today about what if she had been a male politician but haven’t reached any conclusions. I’d love to ask Rory Stewart and Alastair Campbell that very question in their podcast.
She'll front PMQs if she can find her way out of the paper bag!
I guess she could announce a GE, has she got the unilateral power?. Would she be that vindictive?. Is she that desperate to hang on to power for a few weeks?.
I read that she’s going to be forced to have a cabinet reshuffle and get rid of most of her pals. We’re going to end up with a far right puppet PM with a centre right cabinet.
Truss appears absolutely soulless.
She will trot out any statement she is told to say
If she drops the triple lock pledge on pensions it will be the last nail in her coffin
MayBee70 I listen to "The rest is politics" It's an excellent podcast.

It’s brilliant isn’t it! I’d love to go to their live show.
This should be interesting at PMQ too, picked up from Sky News this morning:
‘Sajid Javid, who is a backbench Conservative, is second on the list of MPs to ask a question today.
The Bromsgrove politician was one of the people being touted to replace Kwasi Kwarteng as chancellor last weekend before Jeremy Hunt was appointed.
In response to this, The Sunday Times reported that a Number 10 source said "the prime minister laughed out loud at the suggestion”.
"She has sat in the cabinet with Javid for ten years and she knows who is good and who is s***," they added.’
If I were Javid I would drop her right in the s***!
Re Braverman
I’ve just found this.
Definitely worth a look! ?

It was a dog-whistle call to the right-wing-erati.
Create an association in the mind between Labour and the tofu-eating, Guardian-reading protestors in a desperate attempt to shore up the fast-disappearing support for the government led by Truss.
It was populist, rabble-rousing, and she should be ashamed.
I thought Buddhists were supposed to be nice, gentle people?
Thoroughly enjoyed Sir Keir Starmer on PMQs today.
Dickens, it’s rather dated and unimaginative though. Couldn’t she do any better than that? (Spoiler: no)
I think even the Tory faithful will be groaning.
It’s very Littlejohn early 1990s.
MayBee yes, it’s very odd indeed. Rather like Ms Braverman herself
