I don't feel sorry for any of them. I feel sorry for the people who thought they were getting help with bills and have planned accordingly. I feel sorry for the people who are on benefits and state pensions, and thought that they would get an increase that might not now materialise. I feel sorry for people who are having to use food banks and go onto pre-paid meters, even after working a full week.
I could continue my list, but it would labour the point, and the bottom line is that I'm not wasting my sympathy on Truss or Kwarteng - it was their own hubris that led to their humiliation.
