I've just checked, and it's true. He has threatened to sue the BBC through law firm Schillings for reporting that he had not asked the Queen about using her name for baby Lili.

I would have thought he had more important things to be doing this week.

Of course it could be a misunderstanding, Harry telling granny they were going to name baby after her and she was happy but thought they meant Elizabeth, or Harry told her it was Lilibet and she didn't object which isn't the same as her approving or something along those lines.

I used to be a manager in HR and the number of times I have done an investigation and it was a misunderstanding where both sides thought they were right.

janejudge I understood that the veil is to protect the bride from evil spirits by disguising her. That’s why she has bridesmaids too - so the devil doesn't know which one she is.

That's really interesting and I'd not heard that before.

Traditionally I thought the groom lifted the veil just after the ceremony so that he could kiss his bride.
There is also a tradition that church weddings should take place before it got dark so that the vicar could make sure he was marrying the right couple.

If so and the bride was wearing the veil until after the ceremony, the vicar couldn't be sure the bride hadn't been substituted.

I'll be accused of being bitchy but I do wonder if Harry is being brainwashed.
He needed to come to terms with his problems and, being so involved with the Invictus Games, I would have thought working with some of service men and women would have given him a reality check about facing difficulties with courage and optimism.

Oh yes, I realised you meant the BBC, I just meant can he accuse them of anything if they are just truthfully reporting what someone at Buckingham Palace said.

If the BBC repeat it he will sue, if it was true the person who said it will have to speak out , or the BBC will have to name the source.

Expect the BBC will not repeat it and it will be taken Haz was
speaking the truth, no matter if it’s a lie.

It was 'sources close to the Queen' rather snookering the usual 'sources close to the Sussexs'!

BBC website still featuring the story but also that the Queen was the first person Harry phoned.
