Maybe she did. I was thinking when mine were born, DH phoned my mum while I was still being stitched as he knew she was anxious, I'd hope my SIL would do the same if DD has a baby. Perhaps her mum is made of sterner stuff, I admit I'm a worrier and my mum was the same.

Just to add my DH did phone his mum straight after mine, he didn't leave her out.

Yes, Edward is regarded as a sensible man because he appears to have learned/is learning from his past mistakes.
Harry, by contrast, blames everyone but himself for his own stupidity.

Circumstances and people change trisher. Edward appears to have matured into a supportive son to the Queen.

By the time Harry is Edward's age I suspect he'll look back on this stage of his life and cringe - as well he might.
