and what is wrong with british cheddar ? i get the 59% lighter brand and its still yummy...if we made more british food we wouldnt have to put up with poorer cheaper quality goods from europe .

I wonder if people are really buying poorer, cheaper quality goods from Europe? It just seems so unlikely to me.

Why would I by European foods? It would be because I can't get them here or because they are better quality. I can't see me going out of my way to buy worse for more. It just seems so unlikely that we would throw money away like that.

British Cheddar is amazing- but is is so sad that the UK did not protect this wonderful product in time- and that is is sold and made all over the world to much poorer standards and non-descript taste. Such a shame. The UK has some of the best cheeses in the world and the variety is huge and wonderful.

We were so lucky to have a great young man from Yorkshire selling the very best here in Switzerland - he was a superb ambassador for the very best of artisanal British cheeses.

He has given up- Brexit has done for him- so sad.

A little positive news? Biden has promised to overturn the inhumane and draconian immigration policies that Trump put in place with his wall between the USA and Mexico. Changes are already being made.

I agree with the theory fear causes people to become self centred while love includes the foreigners and the strangers.

I do have some sympathy with the length of time it took the government to achieve a deal. I am still wading through my French pension and insurance docs, tax papers, bank accounts, health card etc. To top it all they have just pulled the plug on my French email address and everything I've sent has bounced back!
