A little positive news? Biden has promised to overturn the inhumane and draconian immigration policies that Trump put in place with his wall between the USA and Mexico. Changes are already being made.

British Cheddar is amazing- but is is so sad that the UK did not protect this wonderful product in time- and that is is sold and made all over the world to much poorer standards and non-descript taste. Such a shame. The UK has some of the best cheeses in the world and the variety is huge and wonderful.

We were so lucky to have a great young man from Yorkshire selling the very best here in Switzerland - he was a superb ambassador for the very best of artisanal British cheeses.

He has given up- Brexit has done for him- so sad.

I wonder if people are really buying poorer, cheaper quality goods from Europe? It just seems so unlikely to me.

Why would I by European foods? It would be because I can't get them here or because they are better quality. I can't see me going out of my way to buy worse for more. It just seems so unlikely that we would throw money away like that.

I am baffled as to who WM are paddyanne? It seems extraordinary that should one voice an opinion with regards to Brexit one is accusded of being a Trump supporter . Most of what I have read on this thread is just nonsense purpetrated by people that live in Europe deeply annoyed that it has affected their lives. To me Brexit was sad and some what unbelievable but that was what the majority voted for and therefore it had to happen. We will make it work.

Perhaps it would help if you actually read the posts that make you so cross. No one was accused of being a Trump supporter. However, there is a way of thinking that is common to both sections of the Trump supporters and some groups of those voting to leave the EU. If you disagree then say why and in what way they all differ. There have been plenty of posts on here to say why groups of voters in the USA and the UK show a common profile.

Mamie, of course Brexit voters are enjoying the fruits of Brexit! Who could think otherwise!

I think that the problem is that any factual information on the negative impact of Brexit is a threat to the armour of cognitive dissonance that surrounds some (by no means all) of the people who voted for it. This is why they attack those of us reporting real issues, however major or minor.
One might think that Brexit voters would simply be too busy enjoying the sunlit uplands to bother to respond to us, but it appears from threads like these not to be the case.

Rather an exaggeration I think Sunny82z that those of us living in the EU are deeply annoyed. Did you not read my post where I said that leaving the EU hasn't had enormous problems for me and other Brits? I doubt that our lives have been affected more than those of anybody living in the UK and probably a lot less.

As I also said, I believe that Brexit is harmful to the UK and that is why I am very annoyed.

You're entitled to an opinion but have you not read the entire 19 pages of posts, because you seem to have missed the facts that most of the posters live in the UK - so you're clearly not grasping any facts. The OP lives in France and she quite properly comments on changes which have affected her since 31 December. She is giving anecdotal evidence of the way that she has been affected and most of us find that interesting. Others are discussing the availability of some vegetables and changes in shopping - random chat about everyday life. If you don't like what you're reading, don't read it. No one needs to consider any drastic relocation-to-other-country arrangements to combat life's irritations, big or small - even if they were deliberately caused by the mindless stupidity of others. Why disparage other posters' comments and laud the brave new post-Brexit world when, you're unaffected by any changes..... but at the same time you claim to have voted Remain? Perhaps in saying this you're just hoping for an argument. Why not stop being so disrespectful to most people on this thread and just get off the fence. Sneering and disparagement hardly shows you as having much of an opinion, an ability to put any flesh on your bombastic view, or with anything much of value to add.

By the way, we all live in Europe...and if you live in the UK this includes you. Presumably you are criticising the comments made by a few on this thread who live in countries within the EU. As far as most people now know, the UK has left the European Union., not Europe - a move which would be much more of a geographical challenge.
